Just catching up with this. Really sorry to hear about your misfortune. I think I hope you get it written off and are able to find something just as nice with the payout, because I'm not sure I'd want it back after that much damage.

BMW aren't paying out, its the third parties insurers who will be footing the bill, BMW will be happy to take even more (and as much as possible) money from them.

Maybe it won't be written off. I'm going to get straight into BMW insurance in the morning. Ludicrous that they couldn't take the details until tomorrow because they're were too busy with non-drivable claims.
