I have them just can't get on with them I like to do it naked baby!!!

Ehhh, I used to be reckless too.....in my "younger" days (before I turned 30...). :P

I couldn't do much of any of the welding I do without gloves. They let me hold pieces I'm working on, move them, adjust positions, stabilize my torch, etc. But, when I started welding with oxy/acetylene, I learned using 'oven mitt' thick gloves (the kind I only use as cutting torch gloves now):

so to me, TIG gloves are basically 'naked.' Learn to feed filler rod with those thick gloves and everything else is easy. :)

I will give them a try I do have a set I use when holding fine stuff. Maybe I should try harder. I am 32 so should know better!!!

Are your gloves the stiffer 'kid skin' (cow leather)
http://jtillman.com/products/gloves/tig/24c/
or the softer 'deer skin' version?

I don't know what you guys have over there, but if you can find the softer deer skin version, they are very easy to work with (they are thinner). I use the cow leather most of the time and only use my deer skin gloves when I'm doing really detailed work because they don't last as long and are not as good at resisting heat (fingers will get warm quicker).

Ouch! Bet that hurt mate.

I touched an oil filled lamp whilst camping as a kid. My whole hand was blistered. Had to get it drained and bandaged up.

I have had worse Ben. In the line of work i am in my hand tend to take a battering.

Sounds very painful and much worse than i have!!

Blister update it popped!! And I cut my finger today :( again I am sure I will live!!

RTABs = PITA but I am getting there I think? Once I have the first one out fully. I am about half way and had to stop as we are going out. But I hope to get them both done tomorrow. My limiting bushes seem to fit and do the job. So hopefully get it all back together and finish off the painting tomorrow. Ready for it all to go back together over the next few weeks.

I feel the pain... I hoped to have my project running by this past Christmas, but at this rate I'll be lucky to have it done by next summer.

 all these jobs take longer!! Your project is a bit more involved than mine!!

We are heading state side next year. No where near you though would have liked to have a look :(

I finally got my control arms finished yesterday, so I feel like a minor success was achieved. :D

Too bad. Where are you going?

All the small steps eventually add up to a leap forward

We where going to Fresno to see friends and then drive north. But our friends have just moved back to Miami so we will probably fly into Orlando see Micky and Minni and then drive south. Know where near you at all!!

LSD rebuild part 2!!!

So it arrived and i managed to get the diff re built in my coffee break. Really easy when you have the correct one

That is starting to look really good! I wonder what it would cost me to get it done on my Zed though. Seems expensive to me.

Its probably only 5-6 hours labor if you have the correct tools and know what your doing? Stripping it was easy putting it back together even simpler. I hope its the best £600 i have ever spent.
