Another little update. Spent last night putting things back together. Oil seals in the diff and the rear plate back on oil in and no leaks I then rebuilt the back axle ready to go in the car. I will be having ago at putting it in tonight. After i make one last connection on the breather pipe from the fuel tank. Its going to be a MEGA PITA doing it solo. I will be updating my FB latter to see if i can drum up some help!!
Hears the axle
Hear ar the other fuel breather connections.
Thats what i will be giving a go. I have just found that i have struggled doing this kind of thing before. I think i have someone popping over to help. He is very handy more so than me!! He has been building drift cars and competing in the European and British drift seen for ages. (he is also teaching me how to chuck the car around sideways a bit )
I did that with my z3 stripped completely and started from scratch started in November finished april the follow year .everything off .then sold it the following year and I am not doing it with the m .to time consuming and each night in the garage for 4 hours .
I think she might kill me if I do it again
I know I know it's been so long now since I have driven it though!! It was only supposed to be a 2 week project! Once summer is done and it's cold again I am sure it will be ready
I have a plan..... I need to get my car rolling and working before next weekend so that i can do a quad for Si forks. So i am going to give up sleep until its done. Stupid day job is getting in the way!!!
Had a very minor leak on the diff when i turned it upside down so i will strip and reseal that tonight. I need to cut the exhaust to get it all in (needs doing anyway for the new quad) So i will do that tonight along with resealing the diff double check all the new fuel breather lines. And then it will go in Thursday!! I then have Saturday and Sunday to make the the exhaust. Next week to put the rear brakes and the interior back together. Sounds simple
