They called me back today and have let me order it but I have to sign a disclaimer when I pick it up! Haha they are paranoid!

How long did yours take to arrive from Germany Herminator?
 
Mine was apparently in stock in the UK, took two days to arrive, which has been the case every time I've ordered bits in the past. Usualy get a phone call around 11am saying they're in stock.

Photo's will come later, can't do it whilst at work (understandably fussy about connecting usb devices) Have had pc troubles at home.
 
I went for the MFSW it's £219 Inc vat I think. Hopefully I won't take too long I had planned to fit it this Friday. I would think the non MF version is a fair bit cheaper.
 
Hmmm, do they not do a chrome option on the spokes on the M-Sport wheels?

Just had a look now and I can't seem to see a chromed option, which I really like with bare spokes.


I'm tempted to ring BMW and ask about their M Sport seats now... they must do them for the M Z4 still, curious how much they'll charge sans frame/base etc... :D

No the M wheel is only Black spokes :)

The black spokes with MF buttons looks great IMO and thats why I wanted to change.

I would imagine the M seats probably cost something stupid like £10k. When I wanted Mercedes to retro fit Comand they wanted to charge £6k! I got the lot done for £800 by an indy.

Dealers just give crazy prices because they don't want to do it or don't want people to upgrade at a later date!
 
Got the wheel and fitted it in about 5mins! I had the correct socket for the buttons plug but they don't seem to be working and my windows don't drop when I open the door.

Any ideas on those problems?

The wheel looks great! Its so chunky :D

Just need to sort the buttons and windows now. Such a easy mod!
 
Its the weighted ZHP gear knob I got it off Starscream. He sells them with or without illumination :)

Its a million times better than the standard piece of crap!

On the MFSW buttons it depends upon build date (09/03 is the watershed) but you may have to retrofit a twin lead harness between the LCM module (plug X12) and 2 extra pin in to the green plug (plug X10170) on the rear of the column slip ring.

No idea about the windows - can't see that as related.

It didn't need any programming when I did it, but who knows the vagaries of it.

I think I may be bing stupid - but who is Starscream? And how much was it? Is it a real BMW item?

Yes, you need to order it from the US though. Originally came on the 3 series with sports pack (330 ZHP in the US). And it's awesome, best mod for the cash.
