Any views on this M Coupe for £13,250? 127k miles.

Been on there for a good while, I was tempted as I'd love an M coupe, and I could actually afford that one right now, but scared off by the mileage, it being an S derivative engine.

FBMWSH but non-matching tyres. Only 54k miles and a rare 2008 model, but no nav. Strong pricing as we come into spring.

No need to be scared by the mileage. Mine is on 111k and counting. Last 30k done in less than 2 years. Regular oil changes will keep you trouble free. Most high milers spent most of the time ticking over on motorways which is virtually a wear-free situation for any engine.

And when buying check for good service history, have a Vanos test + compression test carried out and you should be good to go.

Any car can have problems, we have seen rod bearings go at 33k miles, sometimes less than that, so why worry too much?

For complete piece of mind budget 1000 GBP for rod bearing replacement. Or that or monitor the oil by having regular samples taken and analised by a laboratory. If the rod bearings start to go that will be flagged out on the results.

Couldn't see any discussion about this one, looks quite nice on first glance. Only just up the road from me.

Agree completely.

I'd rather pay £13k for a 100k mile example with fastidious service & maintenance history than £18k for a 50k mile garage queen that's only had a couple of oil services ("because the SI still says 5000 miles to next service").

The problem with any car that's gone through a few owners, it that you rarely get a complete picture - my first M5 was sold with a 4" thick folder of receipts & documents, the Z4MCs folder is a lot thinner (although there is a history of my cars in my PH garage) as it requires a lot less maintenance. Also as a lot of the repairs were done under warranty/insurance there's not much to show in the way of receipts for replacement of major parts.

This is part of the reason I'm happy to post about my car on here - warts & all.

Barely done any miles in the past few years and not been taxed in a while...potentially used as track car?

Not a bad price in the current climate. Interior could do with a good scrub if image nine is anything to go by :)

63k, Carbon Black, aero skirts, pro hifi, nav, strut brace, FSH. Can't see when the next service is due or tyre condition, but looks tidy enough for £18k.

Was looking at that today, my perfect spec, black on black, and csl wheels to boot. I'm off to sell a kidney.

Spotted this Imola red coupe whilst mooching about on autotrader - http://www.cramag.com/bmw-detail.html?row=2&model=BMW%20Z4%20M%20COUPE%206%20SPEED%20WITH%20LEATHER%20SAT%20NAV%202007/07
Looks very nice but I'm no expert :)

Does look decent & fairly priced for the miles & for those who have been hunting could be worth enquiring over ?
The seller though has clearly taken a bang to the head at some point as he claims the coupe is "far better to drive , more collectible & desirable " :P
No1 it isn't :D
No2 that's yet to be proven
No3 that is purely opinion & not a fact

Pretty sure it's an ex forum car owned by 2 or 3 other people on here. Can't be sure without seeing the plate.
Looks a good price, sits well and the aero's look nice on carbon black.

Mines not been taxed in 3 months and has done 1k a year over the last 3.5 years. Its NEVER seen a track.

These cars just get put in garages and come out on odd days so low use and having no tax is far from unusual. Total waste of a good car, but what the hell!!

Looks ok but still got 70 odd k on clock. I'd be hoping for lower miles @ near £20k
