Do you have it set to lock/unlock on approach and walking away?

Mine is faulty as whilst it unlocks when I approach it doesn't lock when I walk away like it's supposed to

I'd forgotten that I had one as it's still where it was when I picked the car up and I've never touched it.

Have you ticked the option in the idrive menu. It’s separate for approach and walk away. Both need to be ticked.

Unless there is an issue with a sensor.

Then perhaps as perhaps I don't know my G29 as well as I thought. I'll check that as soon as I get back from sunny Southern Spain

6 month old car! Don’t talk to us peeps with cars under a week old.

Come resale they’ll both state 2021 M40i because you couldn’t hold off the extra month for a 2022, just mine will also say, FULLY spec’d including digital key, wireless charging oke: :fuelfire: :wink:

You don’t have to…..the car beeps and the mirrors fold. It’s never let me down.

[ref]sars[/ref], I had to switch mine off. If I had the key on me when I went out to the bins or in the wee fellas room it unlocked the bloody car and then I’d never be sure if it’d re-locked without going to the car :headbang:

If you have that enabled, app is the best way to check. You approach, it unlock. You touch the handle, it unlock. :fuelfire: :fuelfire:

This makes me remember when the Siri was initially released, my friend showed off his new phone in front of friends and his wife by saying “Hey Siri, call wife”. The smart Siri replied “ I find more than one wife. Which wife you want to call?”. :headbang:

Nope same situation - it only updates when I reboot iDrive. Also looks like one sensor for the tyres is gone! Bringing it to Sytner next week - out of curiosity what’s your iDrive software version?

That is a bug bear with me at the moment, the latest version is not showing for me, I'm still on 3-20

You can try update app and service in your car to solve the syncing issue. To do that in iDrive, starts from home page -> click into APPS tab (bottom left button below the CAR icon) -> move the cursor to the installed apps (top one in that page) but don’t click into it -> press the option button below the iDrive rotary controller -> click “Update app and service”

For those who wanted to know where the auto brake while reversing is, just go into reverse and there is a settings button and you can select the feature there.

While we are all super skilled drivers akin to Lewis himself, this feature is bloody useful. )))
