It started with a ///M & ends with a ///M / 1yr & 6 x Z4s

Well done mate you have been busy and have had some beautiful cars. Good luck to you looking forward to October already. But hoping to see you and the car long before then

The M looks stunning in that colour mate

Still got enough time this year though to out the coupe and get another Z to runaround in :poke:

Have you tried the wheels off the coupe on the M yet to see what it looks like?

Believe it or not there will be zero meddling with this one  fortunately it ticked all my boxes from the off especially the alloys
Its due ins1 in 3k but i will be going Ins2 asap along with some other preventitive maintenance . front discs maybe 5-8k in them so rather have them changed from the off along with new rear rubber :driving:

Can't quite believe that was all in a year, I thought that the M-with-the-socks had gone a lot longer than that.

Funny to think that I saw that M when Woots had it, the black one I saw with you in it, the 3.0 si with Paul in it and the Red M with Jules in it in 2006

The Red M on CSL - that sure is the nicest looking of the lot. Can't understand that Lynchy has not done that ...

When the other zmr went i didnt think you got on with the 3.2 motor,

What makes you think that :? I loved every minute of ownership & doubt i would have covered so many miles in such a short time if i wasn't getting on with it
I was more conscious of keeping it another year & adding another potential 6/7k taking it to 90k ( not concerned about mechanicals / more the residual ) along with every mile was a memorable one & as winter approached this time last year felt i would struggle to mirror the experience id already had , that along with watching E89 prices drop like a stone were the driving forces of selling the silvergrey M car

Cool, it was probably the "short time" aspect that led me to that belief :)

I'm working on it, can't seem to find any for sale

We've joined you on all the northwest meets this year and each time we've followed you've been in a different Zed :D
- looking forward to next year and two red roadsters leading the way  :driving:

Lovely car Andy - congratulations

I'm almost the only person I know without an imola M... and that was the colour I originally wanted !

Haha , nice to hear from you
Your's did leave a twinkle in my eye that morning  we could have quite a forum get together of Imola roadies with Lynchy , Cracker . Paulgs1000 , yourself & myself :driving:

Great write up Andy and that's one hell of a collection in 12 months  The new MR looks lovely. Not sure I could resist the temptation to take it off sorn if it was parked in my garage.

Just seen this and enjoyed the write up Andy. Love your enthusiasm for the Zed  :D

Also enjoyed being part of the year for you - pleasure doing business and meeting you (again).

There's a few of us with Imola Ms now - we'll have to have a meet for a photo op

Looking good Andy, what induction will it be running?

Well as it has Supersprints im not sure i would get much audible pleasure from a high end induction kit & power gains for the £500+ spend are dubious to say the least :?
It came with RPI scoop but as ive not driven it yet can;t really comment on throttle pick up
Now i know "srhutch" has recently upsized to a larger property so if he were to feel the squeeze & needed rid of his Gruppe then i may step forward with my hand up :P :D

Your cars look to have really shiny paint Mr Wilks, do you use a machine polisher? They look great
Rob

After much trialing though luckliy no erroring  ive now got a 4 stage process that i stick with
1) DA soft pad ( unless heavy swirls or chips ) Meglars Ultimate compound
2) DA soft pad 50Cal Glaze to add shine & mask any minor imperfections ( a Z4M-2006 tip)
3) DA soft pad Fusso Soft 99 , i have tried 50Cal Pentawax but its just not as good to use or in finish & is much more expensive
4) DA soft pad Collinite 845 Insulator to seal
remove all above by hand

Repeat 2,3,4 as & when as it can be layered which over time does build a very deep lustre

However Rob with your white car if its already in good order you could save a few £ & a load of time / effort
Just use Autosmart Topaz & achieve virtually the same finish with one product it lasts for ages
