HID kit.

Just had a headlight bulb go.

Can get HID Kit the same price as bulbs as halford seems silly not to upgrade.

Is this kit here suitable?

Or are there any other similar priced alternatives?

I'm not a fan of these, I see so many cars with them and they're blinding because they have no defined beam.

Yeahh that did cross my mind.

A few on here have them though and coming from a car with xenons to these tea light headlights has made me think about them.

I can understand why you'd want them, halogens are pants. TBH I think so long as you fit them to cars with focusing lenses rather than glass front cover lenses you'll probably be alright. I just get blinded all the time by chavs in their corsas or knackered novas where all you can see is two blinding bright blue square lamps.

Yeah, Pretty sure i have the focusing lenses and also have headlight washers. Just the auto levelling would be missing iirc.

I have HID'S, just passed the MOT with them in so light beam can't be that bad.

What I will say is that my 6000k bulbs give out a weird colour light. They look white with a blue tinge when reflected off a garage door, but in photo's they give off a green tinge, which is odd.

Lots of us have fitted kits from HID-Direct, no problems passing mot's etc. not used the cheap kit from eBay but looks a bargain.

Hey Ben, I've never seen 6000k look green? I've a set fitted to mine, they look white with a hint of blue.

Easiest tip would be to park the car facing a wall/garage door and mark the beam pattern.

Swap the bulbs over and align to meet the beam before and you shouldn't have too many issues come MOT time given that there are headlight washers.

I think it'a just the cheap set I have. Paid 25 quid from eBay. The more expensive ones are probably of a better quality.

Out of stock apparently now wanting to give a refund. All stock was in poor condition hmmm...

Although the same seller now has the same kit up for £40.

Amazon has plenty. Might be better off going for non canbus ballasts and just running cancellers

Had the original 4800 in my TT and upgraded to 8000.

I have 6000 in the Z and they are fine.

Never ever seen anything around 5-8k bulbs showing up green! Think someone's sent you the wrong ones!

Hi new to the forum. Was wondering if anybody could recommend a decent hid kit. Would really like them with slim ballast if I can. I hear these will fit in back of headlight. Any recommendations would be great :-)
