Mine fell off couple weeks back. Got one off EBay recommended by another forum member and stuck it on. The vertical line on it is white though and original one is black. Really getting on my nerves

Same for me, the one I put on from eBay has a more pronounced blue tint to it than the original & has a solid black line on it compared to the perforated line on the original...but I did save £280 by not getting one from the dealer so I shouldn't moan to much!RubyBlueZ4MC said:Mine fell off couple weeks back. The passenger mirror glass flew off, and smashed against the rear wheel arch, causing three or four 2" gouges all the way to the bare metal, along with several other smaller ones. So that's not only a new mirror glass, but also a repair on the rear quarter panel, and the associated costs and risks of the colours not matching up. FFS.
Close - they actually regard it as "glass", which is an explicit exclusion from the Extended Warranty.original guvnor said:Has anyone with the extended Mondial BMW warranty attempted to claim this yet? I bet they would try and pass it off as "trim" even though its an essential piece of the car and a key safety feature!!

Can't really get more OEM than that. The field of view is mega.
