Fully tuned Z4M imola red from Germany

Love this car

That air box though - isn't it really inefficient being open like that ? Or is the picture misleading ?

It is efficient.
On the csl it is open like that above 4000rpms.
Under it is closed and it takes the air from und the box.
But this is not helpful- they only did it for noise reduction.
And I give nothing on noise recuction

Not sure how i missed this. Looks stunning

Love what you have done with it... And your choice of wheels... You're spoilt for choice a different one for each season!

With your new rear cant help but notice we have two near identical cars in the forum... Yours and Z4 CSL.

Any other cars have the csl airbox that are not in imola

@beedub
I would love to come over to UK to test drive yours...

I am still on the search for more power.
Not for the track though- there it is more my driving skills limiting me

But on the daily use you find yourself crying for more power.

So what to do?

Option 1:

S65 4,0l V8 from the E92 M3- gives me 420hp and not so much torque, very expensive

Option 2:

LS3 6,2l V8 from the Corvette gives me 525hp and a lot of torque (chevy performance LS3) not that expensive but a funny thing between chevy and BMW.

Otion 3:

supercharge it

That diffuser

Is that the alpina item or is it a custom diffuser? Should have come with it from factory if you ask me! Looks awesome

Now I'm starting to miss mine

Option 4: M5 S85 V10 and supercharge it

Hey tomscott.
that diffuser was once produced by ac schnitzer and the price was horribly expensive.
Now they dont produce it anymore and I have bought it used from a friend.
Glad u like it

Programmed flashing brake lights under hard braking

Can this be done on any Z4?

A guy here in Germany has an S85 in his MR.
That thing is undriveable because it puts too much weight on the front axle.
That would be the big advantage of an ls3.
That V8 with 6,2l is 20kg lighter than the s54 and it is shorter.
So u can transfer weight between the axles which should make the car even better balanced.

I agree on the V 10 as cool as it is , it's just not suitable for this application imo and has even more scary rod bearing issues than any other m car. Personally if your going mad, the s54 is still the best engine to get to mad hp from of the M engines ... Fi is needed however but it's perfect for boost, iron block. It's the german 2jz.
