Bad_Pritt said:Well, as the title states, I was wondering what people on this forum have changed on their cars after being infected by the Z4-itis (and still plan to do)?
 WARNING  do not read these posts if you do not want to be infected!
What was already modded when I bought the car:
- aero lip on rear bumper
- aero side skirts
- no badges on the side and the trunk
Here are my mods so far:
- angel eyes conversion
- stubby (Peugeot)
- painted calipers
- self-made airscoop
- CPU remap (+15bhp, better throttle response)
- spacers (15mm front and 20mm back)
- Gaptech roof module
- custom quad exhausts
- K&N filter (in original housing)
- metal interior inlays (the wooden ones made my eyes bleed)
- comfort light module
- OEM cruise control
My mods 2 come:
- eibachs, 35mm drop
- replace catalyst system by sportcats
- mid muffler delete
- Aero front bumper (as the car already has the other parts of the body kit)
- custom satnav (Garmin insert in the OEM pup-up monitor)
- 19 inch belini staggered set (8,5J wide front and 9,5J wide back) with non-RFT tyres
- non-RFT winter tires on current 108 rims
- led fog lights and xenon-look headlight bulbs
- footwell lights and puddle lights
- hardtop (but still in doubt on that one...)
...and God knows maybe more if I get inspired by following posts
I first had it programmed by schmickler at the nürburgring.Scooba_Steve said:Hi Max, lovely looking car! One thing I'd be interested to know is the details of the programming you've done.

Made by a guy on the german zroadster.com forum....
I love it
tertius said:Was it a one off or is it available to buy?

He always makes badges of 10 braces as soon as he has got enough people to buy.
I will give him the tip register here if there might be more interest

Please do I'm potentially interested to replace my Strong Strut brace.

lol what? I do hope you're joking.
This guy has one of the most performance led modifications of any car that I've seen here. The modifications are well thought out and "focussed".
You have a modification list with aerials, air freshness, tax disc holders and indicator lenses!
Gotta love Internet forums:
BigBlock 427 said:Hey Guys,
as I promised a certain time a go to a couple of users here- I open my own thread in the M specific zone.
I am Max, 34 years old, running a little restaurant and hotel near Heidelberg Germany. 3 years a go a bought a stock Z4M roadster in imola red with 17k kilometers on it.
Since that day I am in love with my red bastard. 2 Bmw 7 series and one Mercedes CL have accompanied my Z4, the z4 is the only being still here
And as it comes with the time, espescially when you only live about a ten minute drive from Hockenheim Circuit, tuning and improving the car startet.
I will post you a little list what was done.
Fell free to ask to any modification.
Car is nearly perfect now as it is.
mods:
Programmed the M Track Mode from the M3 CSL on my Z4
So having a 2 step dsc (dsc off is still working)
- very nice on a wet race track or on a new race track
Programmed flashing brake lights under hard braking
KW V3 which was changed into a Competition including the strut bearing to run 3 degrees in the front
(my car was adjusted and finished by KW itself in Fichtenberg/Germany)
HMS Valve exhaust (108db) and X pipe
AP Front Brakes Hawk dt60 on track, Ferodo DS2500 on road
Brembo rear Brakes (Porsche Boxster Calipers, standard bmw disc) Hawk ht 10 on track, textar on road
Recaro PP
Genuine CSL Airbox with Alpha N
changed gear transmission ratio to 3,91
changed differential lock to drexler 45%
Wheels:
OZ Ultraleggera 18 ” with Pirelli Corsa Trackday
OZ Ultraleggera 19 “ with Michelin PSS 235/40/19 265/35/19
OZ Formula 19 “ with Michelin PSS 235/40/19 265/35/19
BMW CSL 19 “ with Michelin Cups 245/35/19 265/35/19
And BMW genuine Z4M 18 “ with Michelin Alpine Sport A4 Winter tires
All 19 “ wheels I run 235/40/19 fronts and 265/35/19- so not the standard csl dimensions but a bit higher tires. Much better to drive.
As you can see on the pictures, I have tried some other mods that I sometimes removed again.
I was not so happy with the performance brake for example- but I have to admit, it is due to one of the most "brake-demanding" racetracks that is luckily in my backyard.
I have played with the software by schmickler- great racing team, great software (but did get lost with alpha n eventually)
I played a lot with tires...
I hope you can enjoy my car a bit too
Here are some pics.
Feel free to ask.
Max
