By central module, I believe he means the SIM85Hansdampf said:Update: another used SIM85 unit is almost impossible to get....so I can't just try another one to code.
But....with the error message from @ponzy, I'm not sure anymore, that's a pretty rare/strange error in the SIM85 unit.
@enuff_zed: after the error message, the SIM85 module "disappears" from the list, until you start over. How to check a proper communication of the unit?
@bigwinn: Faulty central module....hmm.....how to check that? Flashing witn ISTA-P and WinKFP works flawless, DTC read, connecting etcs, too.
enuff_zed said:I suppose the next question could be; where did you both get your copies of NCS Expert from?
Any chance it's a corrupted version?
I got mine a long time back from Bimmergeeks, but I think they have been threatened with a court order and don't do it any more.ponzy said:yes I was wondering that,is there a way of viewing the revision number etc,or do you know of a good link to download again.
OK,ponzy said:forgot to say i use Expertmode, but I have used the other profiles as well.
I am thinking that as [ref]ponzy[/ref] is in the UK, it may be easier for him to source another module to prove/disprove the theory before you go too deep Hans.Hansdampf said:SBSL and other units can be coded w/o any issues here.
Only SIM85 seems to cause problems. But it's REALLY strange, that eactly the same error occors on two units....but i'm totally with you, enuff_zed, that it's pointing more and more to a module error.
@ponzy: where do you have your NCSexpert data files from? from which ISTA-P Version?
