DSC/ABS issue

Hello everyone,

So..... I've recently bought an E86 3.0si knowing that the DSC/ABS wasn't working, I'm wondering if anyone here has seen a similar issue before:

So to start with, we have no lights on on the dash. It has been to a specialist's already & has had a recon ABS pump fitted, this was tested as being faulty, however the chap there was unable to calibrate it, I've since re-tried this myself, INPA throws a "ECU conditions not correct" error.

The DSC button does nothing at all & I definitely don't have ABS or DSC working.

As far as error codes go, I have 5DD2 & 5DD0 permanently there.

The DSC light definitely hasn't been taped over as it turned on when running the calibration, I can't say the same for the brake specific ones.

All in all, it's a bit weird & I would greatly appreciate some input. Thanks!

Was it the same reconditioned unit that was fitted, or one from another car? It may need coding but that's a guess to be honest.

I'm unsure, but I have confirmed the VIN is the same as all the others in the car, which I think means it is either the same unit or has been coded?

A decent code reader that gives a dscription of any fault would be better to use, I use a Creator310+, recently sorted my Traction Control and Amber Handbrake light out, also when they were lit the DSC button was inhibited. Mine was No1 Brake pressure sensor inplausible reading. Put a replacement in cleared codes and lights went out, DSC restored on the button. No troubles since.

Descriptions of the 2 faults are here, unfortunately (for me at least, ) in German. My understanding is that these are codes that you would expect if the pump isn't calibrated.

So that tallies. Unfortunately, it's not playing ball with the calibration step in INPA... From what I have read, I should expect the infamous trifecta of lights usually, which I don't have.
