Brilliant!
Thanks for keeping it in this thread!
Can you pop a picture up of them lit up?

Yeah I've been meaning to do that but I didn't have a battery to hand at the time. But I will test and take a pic at the weekend and hopefully get some more work done on the headlight :)
A 9V one will light the LEDs

Thats what id used before but its died! Was worried my ring had died but I put it on my bike battery and its fine. Shouldn't buy pound shop batteries I suppose!

Just for you lot I took the battery off my bike. First attempt at taking a pic:

Lights are looking good mate. Can you tell me if both rings are 80mm on the main beam and full beam.? In short will I need 4 80mm rings.?

Have you thought of adding a remote feature, as in when you press the unlock button on your key the lights come on. Done this on my E46 M3 and it looked really cool.

Mine will look something like this now 20131202_121241_LLS_zps08e08924.jpg
Facelift xenons now using factory diffusers. Just waiting on a pair of smaller rings I've ordered as the inner halos are smaller. I now have a full set of diffusers and a pair of 80mm halos spare. Might buy another pair to make a full kit and sell it on here.

Has anyone else ha this issue on their LEDs from the US?... Just saw this the other day and I just about had a heart attack :headbang:
sehy9e3u.jpg

It doesn't happen all the time (I now check each time I open the car!)

Yeah, saw that before on an old test pair of mine - i flexed them to try and get a curved shape (was a project for the rear lights which is shelved at the moment due to lack of time). Its due to the connections at the back of the lights between the LEDs - if they are stressed they can break.

I tried tapping the headlight which made them come back on again full ring. Confused why it would surface now months down the line? Maybe it was tight and stressed inside the diffuser and jiggling about in the headlight made a lose connection somewhere on the ring?
Feel these are gonna have to come off again :headbang:
