Can't be ar$ed anymore... New Car Ordered.

Love the way the sat nav folds away 8)

£6300 for the B&O sound system..... :o

Great car though JDM looks spot on with the badges removed....

Yeah I have watched this review before... The only options my car has is the heated seats. Everything else comes standard sat nav, bluetooth, Audi MMI system. It even plays music from your iPhone wireless through bluetooth so no need to plug it in.

The standard soundsystem is great too. 180W with a digital sound processor and sub woofers which you can adjust seperately. I would say it was easily on a par if not better and gives slightly more clarity and depth than the £900 upgrade I opted for in the Zed. I bet the B&O sounds fantastic though but jesus christ who the hell would pay that...

The LED lights look cool too but the bi-xenon are fine for me. They have integrated all weather lights in the headlight which also come on automatically when you turn corners at night time.. Oh and apparently the headlights adjust themselves automatically if you are driving abroad.. witchcraft

Hi Kryton, good to see you back on here..

Also with the wedding taking place next year you can bet that little JDM's wont be too far in the distance. A bigger car was making more sense, especially as the Fiancee has just ordered a new mini, which might aswell be a two seater.

My long term plan once we have finished throwing money at the new house and the wedding is to get a toy to keep in the garage.. just needs a set of 20" RS6 wheels on it..... God ive started already :headbang:

Why thank you :) yes that makes sense re the above, just wait until the little JDM's arrive it'll be the best time of your life

Good stuff. Proper "quality" product that.

It is however crying out for some wheels, looks very underwheeled with those!

20s perhaps, take a look at these in grey......

After that, grill blackout? Plastidip is great for that.

Chip next and then you've got yourself a nice comfy "quality" cruiser.

My new "quality" motor, note the wheels......

Hi Dannyboy. Thanks for your comments..

I do agree it needs wheels. That will be the thing I change but all in time. I am spending all my spare cash on the house and a wedding at present so blowing over 1k on wheels will really get me in the dog house. When it needs new tyres then I will probably consider it then.

Your TT looks lovely. Those wheels really set it off.

Just to clarify, what do you mean by grille black out? The front grille is gloss black, or do you mean the chrome surround bit? Trouble with blacking that out would mean I have to do the chrome bits around the side windows aswell...

Good luck with the new motor John, its a shame you had to jump brand down to a lousy dealer.

My ideal car would be a BMW with an Audi interior and build quality. Owned a couple of new Audis in the past and whilst decent all rounders they aint a drivers car in the BMW sense, although catching up.

I did actually order a TT brochure and specced one up before looking at the E89 but got worried I would tire of it over a short time so it got discounted :|

Tim.

My mrs went for a couple of test drives in a A5 she loved the interior but thought the drive was average compared to our old E90 !

I should have tried a TTS Coupe before I bought my E89 two years ago.

trust me you made the right choice.

I think it depends on what you want from your car, if its driving pleasure the zed beats it hands down, but as fast daily cruiser for your average joe I would say it is hard to beat.

You certainly made the right choice, we have a TT-S & neither of us like it, it's back to Beemer again when we change the TT, the TT is great to look at & sit in but thats where it ends, we made a big expensive mistake, the driving experience is none existent, under steer city & zero feedback from the steering.

I know Audi have a poor reputation as drivers cars, but I didn't believe it, but now I have first hand experience it's very justified

Well Im glad you have resolved your problems and the new car looks lovely , its just very sad that it had to go that far and like many on here I have been a customer of BMW for many years and there is a bit of me that thinks its not the exprience that it once was

Note the difference in the grill between the top pic (as delivered and factory fresh) and after I've had it a couple of weeks....

Wheels make a massive difference too!

Audis have really grown on me recently, partiularly the higher end ones.

Whilst BMW may have the edge on the driving 'experience' Audi certainly show them up on gadgets etc.

Our neighbour has just got an A7 Sportback... really nice bit of car.
