Shame BMW let you down badly, but the Audi looks great

Looks like i will be going the Audi route in the new year the GF wants a TT :|

Are u selling the z4 to fund the tt,or will the tt be the gf's,Chris?

Ok guys,

Let me just say the experience was ten times that of the collection of the zed..

I had my own handover area and the car was covered with a nice silver cover on my arrival. I was greeted at the door by two lovely ladies "Hello Mr Mason, Can I get you a coffee"...

The whole thing was a great experience and truth be told what I wanted from the collection of my zed. Every little detail was covered and the whole thing took almost two hours.. The car is absoultely stunning and the fit and finish of every little thing is flawless.

Anyway just a few pics from the handover for you all. I will try and get some better pics this weekend... but having said that you probably arent interested in them

Don't forget your suit from M & S on the way home mate, and some driving shoes.....leather driving gloves for the weekend too :poke:

Great handover mate, looks great. We're you a little sad at seeing the Z go?

LOL, in that 2nd pic I did wonder "how big is that dude by your car???".

Looks like the whole experience puts BMW to shame. Do Audi control their dealerships more than BMW? It seems to me that any Tom Dick (usually) or Harry can get a BMW franchise and give whatever service they like. Not had too much experience with Audi although I have seen Mercedes and they seem to give a service akin to what you experienced at Audi.

I do love the Audi interiors :D

I do like that very much, especially the second gen DRL's not so chavy led's and are much more elegant now.

But where are the pictures of the ladies which greeted you :poke:

Hope this one is more reliable for you John! Glad that you got the service you deserved eventually

Am I the only one who finds the car collection areas and "unveiling" a bit well, there's no other way to put it, cheesy? Seems to be quite a recent thing.

I hope you enjoy this new car a whole lot more than the last one.

IMO Audi interior quality beats everything else I've ever seen, and certainly beats BMW.

That really does look very nice, I would be back to Audi in a blink if the I could have a non black seats in an S line car.

Have been lucky with the BMW dealer in Bristol, they have looked after me well, but my car has had too many faults, that's down to BMW not the dealer. For me the best thing about my Zed is the way it drives, absolutely everything else Audi does it better.

When I picked up my Z4, brand new, they just drove it to the front door of the dealer.

The salesman went through some simple instructions, like where the indicator was :o and I just drove off

Compare that to when I picked up the Cayman (which was used) and they made a massive fuss, under covers just like Audi did. Made me feel very special.

Makes you wonder :x

My M pickup was exactly like that. Drove to the front of the dealer door blocking the rest of the car park at the front, no petrol in the car and as it was my second Z, more a case of - "you know more about the car than I do" type approach.

My X5 pickup at another dealer was not that much better, parked in front of the dealer as well but at least not blocking traffic. Did show me the new bits (X5 is a bit more complicated than a Z :) ).

I am not building another garage for an Audi if that is what you mean :)

I'd want a proper welcome, some refreshments while I deal with the paperwork somewhere private and then a proper briefing on the car (if it was required). Some of it these days seems a bit theatrical. Next the salesman/woman will pop out of a big cake, singing a song whilst handing you the keys and whipping the cover off your car!

Looks lovely JDM i am glad you enjoyed the experience i know i did with the TT, Audi do a lovely handover, i did once get a good handover with the X5 at sytner sheffield...but the rest of the service was poor

Let us know how you get on with the A6, we are disappointed with the TT-S to drive, quick but very ordinary & very little driver feedback its a shame as to look at & sit in its excellent, thats the problem as a drivers car you cant beat a beemer imo, we wont go Audi again after this one but everyone sees things differently thankfully.

Enjoy your new motor!

I've had 3 Audi's over the years, 2 x A4 Convertiles (both used) and a brand new TT, and not one of them had a decent handover, all cars were left outside, only one of the A4's had a bunch of flowers for the Mrs. The dealer I bought them from was West London Audi...previously owned by none other than Tim Abbott (yes he's a *****r)

Been on my first outing with it today.

A trip over the M62 to Manchester and back in the sodding rain.. Why does it always rain on the M62 and why is there always accidents

Anyway, the car is really at home on the motorways. It just eats up the miles and is a very very comfortable and pleasant place to be. I feel like I am in a fighter jet or something with the dash board, its all rather cool compared to the miniscule amount of information on the Zeds display.

Also, there is now just coming up 150 miles on the clock and I have averaged 49.6 MPG on todays journey... :driving:
