It was indeed - very comfy too!! I've always liked their interiors (apart from the any colour as long as it's black philosophy on the majority). It's the bland exteriors and lack of fun handling I've never warmed to!

Thanks for all the kind messages everyone. I really hope that this is the end of all problems and that Audi are somewhat better at providing customer service. I have to say at present they seem great. Even managed to blag a car for a couple of hours on Saturday to get a feel for it as the test drive on Friday was a bit stop start with all the traffic around a 5.00pm. They even know your name when you enter the dealership "Good afternoon Mr Mason, Can I get you a coffee"..... you'll do for me

Will definately be stopping around here though. I love this place. Everyone is great.

Ill be sure to post some pictures up of the car when I get it later in the week :)

so ... are they aware that the passenger seat has the cushion the wrong way around? :)

I guess they don't care about damage as they will sell the car second hand, but wrong bits might come back to bite them?

They are indeed aware. I was very upfront with them about the issues. :)

I think the reason they are OK is it will be going to a BMW dealer anyway as they tell me its too new for them to retail on their forecourt. So if they pick up on it they will sort it out under the BMW warranty.

Perhaps you can recommend a dealer who can sort it ...

The best trick would be to get rid of the car, get BMW to sort it, and buy it back in a month's time - all fixed :D

They arent getting another penny from me.... BMW is classed as swearing in my house right now..

I've a good mind to cancel the Mrs new mini order

just catching up to this...

hope the new barge works out for you, and you have a better experience after the frankly shocking treatment BMW have shown you :o

And yes I'd be tempted to cancel the Mini order too

Wow bit of a left-field choice there, suppose all those miles in the courtesy 5er got you thinking. Will look really nice in white though.

Well tonight is the night.. Due to pick it up at 5.30pm..

Nipped down to the dealership at lunchtime as its practically on the doorstep to see if I could see the car and i caught a glimpse of its back side in the valeting bay...

I was suprised to see 4 guys working on it and they were actually claying the whole of the car.. Now that i am impressed with :o

Here's a little glimpse of it :D

Excellent news :) enjoy picking it up , we bought our Audi TT-S brand new in july & i agree the customer service is brilliant from audi & its exciting when its in the handover bay, ours has done 6k miles already they dont stay new for long!
Have fun picking it up & all the best :D

Good luck for tonight, look forward to the pictures and a full drivers report as soon as

I must say I don't blame you one bit. When I moved from my 3-series to the TT I felt I moved up in brand... when I moved to the Zed I felt it was an upgrade in the car and downgrade in the brand.

VW and Audi seem to receive a lot of customer care training at the moment, took two of our VWs to the dealer to get them serviced / MOT-ed and customer service was way, way better than what I get at BMW.

They even stated that they did not grease the hinges of the Golf as the car was in such clean condition, they did not want to spill anything on the paint work...

They were claying the paintwork...Jesus, that is impressive for a dealer! I don't think a BMW dealer would know what clay was...other than for making pots!

Good luck!
