Back in Z4MC ownership- and building a track beast :)

Got the camber plates too :-)

No plans to fit stiffer ARBs anytime soon. It will be interesting to see if dannyg gets drop links with his kit once it arrives.

Maybe mine did too then. I fitted H&R ARBs at the same time, so I needed adjustable drop links to enable the ARBs to clear the back of the brake callipers. Clearance was fine with Eibachs and OEM dampers but the ARBs fouled with the Clubsports fitted until I fitted adjustable DLs.

You guys will love these dampers, Before you change the ARBs please please try the car with the dampers as they come, think you will find these more than adequate and the roll is nearly down to nothing... the little bit that is their is very useful in nudging upto and past the limit.
The z4m was shod with very thick bars from the factory and teamed with a decent damper setup honestly it doesn't need anymore roll resistance at all imo... Try it and see how you guys feel.

my mega stiff linear sprung fiesta st which weighs in at a featherweight 1088kg rolls MUCH MUCH more and that car is already insane in the handling department.

Hi Again all,

A quick question, does anybody have a good starting point for the bump and rebound setting on the KW CS's? Road and track options would be good!

Inn the mean time my Apex ARC-8's have arrived and are now fitted....

Do you think the rears will rub the arches? 9.5" wide with decent offsets.....

what size are the tyres?? they are sticking really far out.... the 9.5 et22 is a really flush fit so tyre choice needs to be really careful, on semi slicks you sometimes need to consider dropping a width down, the run ALOT wider. That rear looks like it going to rub to me.... its also very low at the rear, you could drop the front a little and slightly raise the rear to give a little rake. this will also help with clearance.

R888's in 265/35/18....

The car is currently on H&R's but will be going onto the KW's soon so I can raise the ride height a bit anyway...

Any thoughts?

mmmm you may be ok... i run a semi slick, in the same size and offset and i don't have an issue but my semi sick doesn't run as wide, you can clearly see yours almost protrudes from the rim, mines further but no a much as yours... however mines never contacted... even 2 up, full compression .

Are yours definitely the Et22 option? Yours look quite a bit close to the arch than mine, I'm also running a 265/35 albeit federal rsr. Can't believe the tyre width can be that different? Anyway, definitely no rubbing with mine. Best photo I have at the moment to show the gap.
I'm also like you on standard dampers and lowering springs. Similar drop I believe.

its the tyre..... checked the spec and your 265 section tyre is nearly 280mm across!!! thats the problem. With semi slicks you really need to be careful as they run wider, in this case you needed a 255 section with is still near 270mm !! mine are 271mm across so quite bit larger than the 265 may suggest! if you notice me and tom have a decent little gap which is really needed imo for track work and these type of tyres, they just give alittle more room for tyre deflection when things are at the limit.

It would be interesting guys if you could take a photo of your rear wheels from along the door so I can see a little more clearly just how far your wheels protrude.

I am going to check the offset of the wheels too.

Thanks for your help!

You're lucky, most seats rub against the door when closed.
Their backs seem narrow.
What do they weigh including the rails at the bottom?

best of got really of the rear.. mines the same offset and width as yours but alot more aggressive up front. i run 235 - 265 respectively.

yeah it will rub alittle but may just be on the plastic and minor, just monitor.

a read a review that from the factory the new 991 gt3 rs has wheel rub, lol! due to the extremes of its setup.... so maybe little here and their isn't a bad as i first thought??? as long as its not hitting the bodywork... thats a no no.

Just to update this thread as well as the new one I started. I was completely wrong to make the post, especially before seeing the wheel in person. The stitching is exactly as it should be. It mirrors the OEM wheel almost perfectly -

I feel a bit of a muppet, especially as I know companies like Royal's rely on customer satisfaction and reputation. Their work is impeccable and customer care is spot on.

Fair play to you for holding your hands up.
Mine has now arrived at home but I'm away on business until the end of next week!

I'm 'stitching' to see it ... ;)

I'll be interested to hear how you get on with those tyres. Here's a decent photo of my rears, 18" arc-8s et22, 265/35 Federal 595 RS-R. I think approx a 15mm drop.
