Sp3ctre it looks and feels great in the flesh, and tbh bigger phablets are the way forward......I just think the 5S was too small, and it needed to get bigger so people can merge using their phones and tablets into one.....

6 Plus is too large for me to carry about even if I wanted it, in my jeans pocket. I'd have to buy a man bag (not happening). IPhone 6 (normal size) should be arriving by courier to my door tomorrow. Nice part is, I didn't even ask for one, the company CEO just sent it as a thank you for my efforts this year.
I like to have a tablet and and a phone as separate entities, but I do get ghat people want to start merging stuff into one. My MacBook also arrived half an hour ago.
I ordered that because I got Mike the iPad mini retina 128gb last year and gave my dad my old iPad 2 as my nephews have one each at home (redic at their age of 2 and just turned 4) and have one each at my parents. Then Mike went an bought a Surface Pro 2 because Wacom helped build it and he can use it as a design tablet and said I could then use the iPad more. That arrived yesterday so we both have new tech with both thinking it will free up the iPad for one another
Maybe need to discuss these purchases a bit more in future.

6+ is ridiculously large and feels big too.
I had 30mins to kill before a meeting so had a chat to the staff there who let me have a play.

The 6 Plus is getting on for being more of a tablet that can be used as a phone. To be honest can't see why if thats what you are after they could always build in the capability to the mini or instead of the iPhone 6 Plus call it the iPad Micro

I updated my 5 to ios8 had three failed updates but now it's lost all my apps. Seems pretty much the same speed and I am hoping the battery life is better.
Just having to download my apostrophe from the cloud.

Currently downloading IOS8 and being sad I read the release notes all the way through... As long as you have a 4th gen iPad (I don't...) or iPad Mini (also don't - wife does) and an iPhone 5 or newer (yep, you guessed it... Though WB and Mrs B do...) then you can tether the phone to the tablet and use it as a hotspot for your tablet to surf... And I believe there is also now the functionality to use your iPad / iPad min to make / receive voice calls. I have no idea if it works or how - and it'll be a while before I have upgraded my hardware sufficiently - so would be interested if anyone's managed it.
