The tethering has always been there though? I use that on my current iPhone 4 in London all the time where I can not connect my laptop to customer's networks.

Didn't know that. Need to go back and look at the wording...

Just tested it on my iPhone 5 on IOS8 and it works just the same as before. Switched off wifi, let iPhone get onto 4g and tethered my gen 2 ipad to it and worked perfectly.

Great facility as it means I can use one 4g phone plan with any device, when travelling

Had my 6 plus for 24 hours now and its surprising how small the 5 feels in the hands now I've gotten used to it.

My only gripe (embarrassingly enough) is that the phone feels too light. A bit more weight would have really completed the premium feel of the product in my opinion.

It's interesting to see the plus seems to be the big seller at the moment, possibly because of all the "bigger is better" campaigning from Samsung. I wonder now the playing field is level as far as screen size goes whether the 6-standard will end up being the format of preference for the masses (once the size novelty has worn off), the same way the ipad mini seems to be the one most people have settled on.

I put the 6 into the space for the phone in the arm rest, doubt there will be any snap in adaptors for it. It went in with no real room to space at the sides and I struggled to get it out. Its fine with the cable attached as you can just use that to pull it out but if be knackered if it was a plus!

Mine just arrived. Need to get a new sim first ...

School boy error there so you'll just need to look at it until you've got a sim

Just cut your original sim down. I did that with mine when I got my 4S :)

Need to be uber careful as it's Nano sims, not micro sims from the 5 onwards which is just a tiny bit bigger than the chip itself

Got my plus today and in true Nick fashion, I will be selling it next week!!

Not to you liking? At least you'll get your money back if not a little more due to demand.

Bit of a tech junkie Angie, so I like having the new stuff when. It comes out.....and the only reason I am going down this road is because I love the iwatch....and I want to give this a try.

I am a big fan of the watches linked to phones....so let's see.

I paid over the odds on the ones I got this morning, as I am a bit impulsive....hence why I actually bought a car today......but I'll update you all when it happens and subject to me selling my car to someone from the forum here.....

No choice, the moment the new sim is activated you lose your old phone ….

Had to go in a shop, in a shopping centre. Not been there for years, yuck.

I like to get a new gadget or two. I quite like the look of the iWatch but my only issue with it is I have some rather nice watches that don't get enough wrist time as it is because I bought yet another watch, so to buy one of them seems like a waste I know that I will end up with one and just have to wear it in the other wrist as suggested by my Mate.

I do like the idea of being able to have my phone out of sight and possibly have an alert when the phone's got a text or call.

Well hopefully you can recoup most of the outlay on the phone, i'm sure that you will. Oh now I am interested to see what you have ventured into, I assume its not a SLK

Anyone order the new iPhone online? how long did the delivery take, trying to decide where it's best to order it...

I ordered the new 6 from Apple and it arrived for launch day before 10:30. I've ordered from Apple before and its usually pretty quick within 24 to 48 hours but if your after a 6 or 6 plus you'll not be gettin one soon. Currently a minimum 3-4 week waiting list.

Otherwise you could order an iPhone from anywhere else and it'll usually be delivered by next day delivery. Carphone warehouse are good. But where ever you buy from they will tell you what to expect with regards to delivery times.

Completely not about phones, but I think my trusty 3.5yr old ipad 2 will soon be killed by IOS8.x. Runs like a dog now, freezing, hwesitating, apps and mail crashing on a depressingly frequent basis :(

I'd love an iPad Air, but can't justify the outlay right now. Damn you Apple :x

Thanks Angie, the apple website says 7 - 10 business day dispatch for the 6 but i will be in different locations on the 7th and 10th day so not sure where to order..

I upgraded my ipad 2 to ios8 and like you it killed it.

I would recommend downgraded it back to 7, while you still can... Wont be long before apple stop allowing it... See here:
