Anyone selling a Z4M Coupe? or know where to look

Ouch. I'd hang on to it rather than flog it for that! I think that demonstrates the danger of not bringing it back to stock come sale time though - it does seem to generate buyer suspicion.

That one's been hanging around a while and he's brought it down in price a fair bit, was asking well into the twenties a few weeks back i think....

Guessing the wheels are putting people off, its not a car that suits many after market rims imho, maybe thats it?

The wheels may not be best suited to the car but at the price it is now it wouldn't matter would it? You may be right about the mods but there's nothing too severe and all is easily reversible if it's an issue. It's just the wrong time of a tight financial year, that's the main problem I think.

Sooo tempting to get it, return it to stock then resell. With that mileage I'm sure it's a great car.

Hello there,

I have a black Z4M for sale and to be honest I'm absolutely baffled as to why it hasn't sold already?!

It's an 07 plate coupe, sapphire black metallic, has only done 17000 miles and was bought and has been serviced from BMW. It is basically as new condition. I love the car and the only reason I'm selling is due to redundancy.

After looking on auto trader and pistonheads they all seemed to be priced around 22-24k so I pitched mine at £21,500 for a quick sale and as yet only had 'dream' callers.

So if you're interested then let me know your e-mail address and I'll forward you my number. But even if you're not and I can help you in any other way then please don't hesitate and I'll try my best having owned it for around a year.

Also, to other members I'd appreciate some tips on where's the best place to list it because at the mo it's only on pistonheads.

I had a dealer call the other day and offer me £20,500 but it's just in to good a condition to let it go for that price! ANy tips greatly appreciated.

Thanks...

£20,500 sounds alright from dealer at this time of year. I'd be tempted at that for the lack of hassle alone. If you're not in a hurry then you could hold out but if you've pitched it at £21,500 then most people would be looking to get you down to £21k straight away. Not worth the extra hassle for £500 IMO.

Is that the AP07 car? I would post some pics of the interior. I'm currently looking for one and one of my major deciding factors is the interior colour in combination with the exterior colour. Most people will spend more time in their car than outside looking at it so interior is a key to buying. Yours is one of the exterior colours I'm looking for but I have a suspicion it has the dash that I couldn't live with. Few more pics might just push someone into dropping the cash at your feet :)

Sat Nav??

A lot of buyers want this

tbh, I'd rather have one without and install my own

This one? Looks good tbh and a good price. Tried Autotrader?

I find location matters when selling a car, many people just aren't willing to travel far. If for example you lived in or near London, at the price you have advertised your car at it would have gone by now most probably.

Mine hasn't got sat nav...but to be honest I can't believe the amount of people that have put the phone down when realising it hasn't got sat nav!! Re-sale value is the only thing I can think of why people want it.

And yes, it is the AP07 one...and you're completley right I do need to post more pics. This weekend after her usual clean and polish I'll put some new ones up and hope you're right that it helps the sale. Thanks for the advice :D

I had ANOTHER trader rign up today and offer 20k for it. I've already dropped it from 22,500 to 21,500 so definitely won't drop any further...if it doesn't go at that price then somehow I'll keep her come hell or high water...probably hell with the girlfriend!! :(

It's absolutely immaculate...there isn't a mark on her apart from the usual stonechips. Tyres fine, wheels unmarked, interior unmarked. Black leather interior.

Thanks guys for all your comments...

That's a shame but I think you are right, it's driven by a resale perception. I imagine there's plenty of people on here who do need sat nav as part of their everyday driving experience, but probably a lot who don't but fear having an unsaleable car on their hands.

Still if it's any consolation there's at least two of us here (me and DarrenM above IIRC) who specifically sought out cars without sat nav, so all is not lost. Does look great too, but get some photos up of the interior as that helps drive a decision too.

In years to come I think the opposite will be true, BMW M enthusiasts won't want the satnav.
I fear you are right at the moment, pity some people think about resell rather than just buying the car to enjoy it.

When I bought mine (without satnav)I knew it would be harder to sell in the near future, but so what, I bought it to enjoy......and don't intend selling for a very long time anyway. One of my requirements was to not have satnav :)

Admittedly I had a Z4M R where I think Sat Nav is less important .... but I had the choice of three cars when I got mine.

All were tidy but one drove a lot better than the other two .... and I bought that one.

It didn't have Sat Nav but had half the mileage of the others and went better and smoother .... which is more important to me than spec !!

TBH the dealers started it by giving under book for non-sat nav cars. Now all M cars have it as standard.

Me too :)

It is not just satnav though. Without the screen, no phone details, no ipod image, no additional board computer functions, no TMC details, no easy radio control and so on.

As it is a toy car, well, for me at least, I want the toys as well and would never consider one without it.

Each to their own I suppose, the AUX input gives me ipod connectivity and hands free phone, albeit not as comprehensive as what you have
