2013 Scotland Meets - Planning and Discussion Thread

Right guys is there anything happening regarding the Hoon to Skye that was mentioned at Applecross last year
Getting itchy feet with missing the Fife hoon and unable to make the one on the 28th :driving:

In a word. Yes

I need to recce the route but was thinking start of August.

Skye trip weekender. Up on Friday. Back Sunday. Loop drive on Sat similar to Applecross.

Planning to recce the route in June, just hadn't got round to posting on the forum about it

Was thinking that we should do Skye bridge, instead of ferry??

Skye bridge is cracking - that's the aim. Plus you don't need to book (for the bridge) ;)

Early August would work for me - Wee Bing will be on holiday, so bringing him would be easy... Assuming he's welcome and you don't get him drunk :D

Back to Scotland again ! :trampoline: :trampoline:

Keep us in the loop on dates. We are interested!

But then you can't do the stunning road down to Mallaig and get attacked the enormous seagulls whilst partaking of the obligatory Fish & Chips.

I Won't be able to make it as I'm home in June for the Charity walk and away again mid July probably until September, when we may take a drive up to Skye for a couple of days. Though SWMBO has said we have to take her car as she plans on shopping :x .

With Adam doing the August Run ( which I think I'm going to be busy so wont make) and the National in July - anyone fancy doing something early June .

Missed out on Scottish trips in 2012 so need to make amends. Would Cayman be welcome if we brought both cars & kids (Craig can vouch for them!) ?

Not sure who was going to attack first:

Agree though, the price of the ferry (or double the fuel to return back along the Mallaig road depending on ferry availability ) is worth it just to drive the road out to Mallaig: it's a cracker.

Just looking through the pics from yesterday's meet - we sure do pick the weather . Should've done an Adamski and made it Saturday as that was by far the better of the weather. Scotland, don't you just love it...

I've slightly lost the plot: what's the plans for the rest of the year's meets?

I'm happy to organise something but equally happy to let others step up after a few years of doing the organising thing :)

Hell yeah, bring the Pork :driving:

(it'll give those M boys something to chase rather than a Fabia diesel)
