E60/61 M5 is the only way and the more I think about it, the more I am in love with the V10... Probably the greatest engine ///M has ever developed...
Its a lot of weight up front and the SMG is out of date. Ridiculous power though and a great handler (I've never tried it). There is a really cool Hamman "widebody"version of the M6 too. I'm 6.4" and have no probs in the Z.
M3 has 4 seats no?
E39 M5 is lovely and cheap and the ultimate wolf in sheeps clothing (sounds like a DTM at full bore). If I absolutely had to have 4 doors that would be the one for me.
The V10 engine does not weigh more than the V8 in the E39 M5. I have no problem with fitting in the Z - I have owned my car for 4.5years and 45k miles - by now I would have known if I had a problem
Rear seats space in the M3/1M is a token gesture compared to the E60 when I get myself comfortable.
E39 M5s are awfully nice - my best man owns the most powerful NA E39 M5 in Europe - A Nowack 500 - look it up on the M5 board - and I have driven it a few times
, but the E60/E61 is in a different league in its ability to pile on speed... Just look at the vids of the Ring taxi...
