ZM custom backboxes + tips BCS Powervalve Now Fitted

From listening to the sound clips, i still think the bypass pipes are a great way to get a better sound without the £700-£800 price tag. And if I'm honest, I'm not sold on the sound at all, but could just by the recording as said above. They do sound a bit "farty". I wonder how they sound at normal driving, because i suspect a lot of use will come at normal driving, and not WOT up to full revs.

If anyone does want to listen to a range of exhausts for the Z4M (at a BCS open day?), then I'm happy to offer mine as an example of the Rogue Diablo's.

Think I must be getting used to them now though, so may think of swapping to RPIs in future (once my bank balance is back to a healthy state of course).

My H&S exhausts with X pipe was noisy...

If I did a lot of miles it would have been off... But 60 miles a week was easy enough to live with...

As said, there is no " valve" in these for the Z4M... In my thinking it would be extremely difficult to implement the valve due to clearance... Which is a shame as it's truly an answer for dual noise exhausts..

I have the flap on open all the time in my 35is anyway, but the noise is still muted.. Just adds a few pops and bangs on gearchange and downshifts..

If i remember correctly you do a lot of motorway miles right? The RPI's would drive you mad... I'm used to mine but then again I don't spend much time on the motorway.

Great offer & i for one would love to hear other offerings in the real as opposed to vid clips .
Asked Nige about a potential meet down at their St Helen's workshop & he's very keen to get that sorted .
Will have to be late Aug early Sept though ?

I'd be interested in some decibel readings for the BCS, if it's too loud for track then it's a no go for me :(

My Rogue Diablos give readings of 84-89dB at the tracks I've been to.

Don't be tempted to use an iPhone dB meter though, as they have shown 120dB for the mine

I phoned and emailed them about the first ten discount but got no replies will probably go with a Remus set up.

My Remus back boxes usually return around 87dB

im in desperate need to remove the RPI but its the weight savings that are holding me back, really huge...
so bored of the noise level now however, i have removeable silencers added from RPI too, really neat solution and drops the drone down a decent amount.... making them liveable.... just....

this is them fitted, very easy to remove - install back in.

Beedub, can't quite work out how those fit, am I being daft?

Given how you don't use yours daily & your noise comment, I'm guessing you wouldn't advise them for a daily driver of 60mile motorway round trip....love the noise but just nervous if I bit the bullet

they slide into the larger pipe ( gasses take easiest exit so most use the large inner pipe ) the insert is reduced down in pipe diameter to quiten it down, it also forces more gas out the smaller tailpipe, i definitely makes a difference , but on my particular car not massive, i have 100 race cell cats, large bore s-pipe and boost... now on a stock car with Rpi this silencer MAY make enough difference but from my experience no way would i daily drive them, i use my car once a week and i literally get to the point where I'm happy to put it away which imo is sad and needs sorting, but as said before its not a priority right now. if you put these on your DD you will not enjoy the car anymore imo... this engine creates a serious amount of noise when uncorked, stick with the stock exhaust i WISH i did. Thats about as honest as i can be tbh.

Useful numbers

Does anyone know how many db an eisenmann race is?

Had a meet up earlier with "DPG" who recorded the BCS boxes on his GoPro kit
Ive had them on now for 3 weeks(400 miles) & am now at the point where if they were not on i would really miss the aural tone & pleasure they create .
I'm going to try out the Prestige boxes Nige has offered but i'm more than happy with the noise the current Sport set up produces throughout the rev range

Soundclip attached on this thread

Apologies for the video, the GoPro was mounted a little low so the exhaust fumes distort the picture a little

Sounds good though

Very similar to the db killers in my Suzuki and other superbikes requiring a quiter exhaust than a race system.
