ZM custom backboxes + tips BCS Powervalve Now Fitted

I thought these were dual purpose exhausts, quite on light throttle loud on full. Seems as if they are always loud? Just going by the video which probably doesn't give me the full picture. I would purchase these if they were stock sound when cruising and loud when you hit the throttle.

Bear in mind the video is pretty much all under heavy throttle revs up
I drove a good few miles earlier through local towns at up to 30mph , no real noise until the revs go over 2000/4000 in the gear changes then the noise does kick in
If you want stock/muted noise stick with OEM , if you want more from the tail end then OEM isn't happening :?
Kenny Rogers

This could be heading towards a open day/meet down at BCS with both boxes already set up & running so the actuals can be heard ?
Would obviously need another enthusiastic owner involved beforehand ?

two cars down at the midlands meet would be good

I am seriously interested but really need to hear this in normal driving and next to other after-market exhausts. I'm not really expecting that you'll manage to track down an RPI'd Z4M like mine but one can hope! :)

"cockney playboy" recently sold his Mroady with RPis on , went through ebay & no sign of new owner as yet

that sounds great imo!!! very nicely done and the boxes themselves look so much better than some of the other custom setups I've seen with horrific welds and poor quality..

The fit & finish couldn't be better imo , a couple of guys have remarked how the tips should be higher in the openings but been studying this morning & they are sat to perfection with a even margin above & to the sides that if lifted would not look right .
Also been watching other clips online of the big names & not wanting to offend as i think this is a forum car but i don't care what the brand is these ruin the back end for me

Settled then Beedub. Seeing as you're the only one I know with RPIs you'll test a set for me and compare the sound. :P

To the chaps at BCS, if you haven't done so already you should post this on the ZPost forums as well. The North-American boys are always up for trying something new.

Still waiting to hear what the prices are - is it £688 fitted for forum members ? And what's the price delivered as opposed to fitted ? Mrs B has already denied my application, despite living the sound, so I am asking for the good of the forum. Honest :P

Its covered on page 3 :poke: the £688 is a introductury forum offer & includes UK delivery .
They will fit them at their premises in St Helens for a small fee

The price of £688.00 was the target price based on initial expectations.
The final retail price will be £850.00 - with the offer of a 15% discount to the first ten customers.
This equates to £722.50
Cheers

To be honest I don't like the sound on the video. It sounds a little bit generic and a little "farty", the distinctive tone and the "zing" at the top end; instead of what I hoped would be amplified has been lost. It is quite similar to an Eisenmann tone instead of something like a Supersprint.

To be honest that's a little too high for me, 688 was already almost 1000 euro... Even if I get the discounted 722 once i factor in shipping it'll be around 1100 euro.. for a set of exhausts...

Will have to have a think...

Sorry, just being lazy

It sits in the middle of whats availaible for the M price wise though, and is competitive...

And the quality looks exceptional....

I guess its whether you like the sound or not...

Unfortunately a victim of the strong pound :( if you were buying 4 yrs ago they would only have cost you 800 euros

That's a shame. I've no doubt they'll sell, but I don't like how a price rise and a change to a 'first 10 people tactic' has just occurred since everyone has expressed their positive views on the final product. Perhaps its unfortunate timing but that's just soured this for me, I'm out.

On page 3 (June 18) i did say that BCS would offer a limited number to forum members for a limited period only so nothings changed there .
Not sure why the price has risen £32 on those initial sets from £688 though :?
