I need to know how wide your 19s are front & rear & what size tyres you are running. Then also if you've lowered the car, roughly how much you have lowered it by & if you have issues with scrubbing?

im looking into new wheels and want to see what sizes people are running & if they have problems with them rubbing

Cheers for your help! :D

Mike

If going 19's imo you have to lower it to complete the look.

Mines on eibachs... Approx 15mm less from the sport setup.

19x8.5 front 235/35/19
19x9.5 rear 265/30/19

No rubbing, but the m front catches everything now :(

richardG has 19" VMRs on his with Eibach lowering springs... fits a dream and minimal rubbing issues

I have 19" BBS CH rep wheels...19 x 9.5---265 30 19 rear and 19 x 8.5--235 35 19 front

Lowered on H&R springs approx 20mm.

No rubbing issues or lock to lock rubbing..

19" Dynamics on mine

Rear are 265/30 ZR 19 93Y
Front is wearing 235/35 ZR 19 91Y

I'm not fussed about lowering, I think they fill the arches just fine. I've though about spacers but decided against.

19" on mine, 8.5 front and 9.5 rear, tyre sizes are 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 respectively. Running on standard springs.

No real rubbing issues, although it can catch ever so slightly on full lock. Check the offset of whichever wheels you're looking at, mine are both ET38.

Have you now lowered it?

Looks different in sig pic......

Nope, not sure why it looks so high in the first pic, although I had just got back from having the wheels fitted so the suspension was probably still settling down (or have I made that up) - anyway, the sig pic is more indicative of how it looks normally. :driving:

cheers for the replies guys. Im being quite ambitious & putting 9 inch fronts & 10 inch rear on :D

Just trying to see roughly what tyre sizes ill need & potentially if they could rub, but only one person seems to have a slight problem so im happy with that

Useful website here, show's you the difference between two wheel + tyre sizes, including any differences in offset & rim width.

http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php?width=255&aspect=35&diameter=18&wheelwidth=8.5&offset=50&width2=265&aspect2=30&diameter2=19&wheelwidth2=9.5&offset2=38&Submit=Submit

The figures in the link are my rears, standard (MV2) versus new.

Thanks for the link hype. Ive actually bought the alloys & with no tyres on they look to fit ok, the fronts are 1mm off the suspension strut though so ive bought some 5mm spacers to test & hopefully bring them out enough. Im more worrying about scrubbing in lock to lock

Well come on - give us a sneak preview! Are you worried about the 9 inch front sticking out beyond the arch (MOT fail) - not sure I've seen 9s and 10s on a zed before.

Dug out some pics:

Good to know! Just ordered the same set-up of rims and was wondering for the tire size... I suppose this tire size is what is recommended by BMW? I could only find details on my grey card up to 18 inch...

ok so heres a quick pic. ive gone for x5 alloys, ive been told it wont work, but im going to prove people wrong lol

this was a quick test i did when i first got them. the rears sit perfectly flush with the arch & the fronts are about 1mm away from the strut so ive got some 5mm spacers to try to bring them out a bit. There looks to be no issues of them sticking out to much so far though, but ill only be able to tell once ive got tyres on them

good effort but i;d be suprised if you get no rubbing, mine have rubbed just near the front of the wink
