yes indeed bmw, but an e46 M3 was to expensive those days and E36 is just f*cking ugly. ( it aint as cheap on mainland europe, your isleland has nicer prices but hey id don't do right hand drive for a daily)

You've spoiled the fun by giving a sensible reply :P. As I'm sure you know (from the original post that caused all this in the first place), I thoroughly enjoyed raping the Z4MC around the 'ring, but you have to admit this interior colour scheme IS questionable and any 2 seater front engined car does have a questionable image ;):

yes that interior is questionably. beige/creme/ yellowish stuff is not my thing :P

but why should a front mounted engine 2 seater be not so good i have to number some :

SLR ( cool !!! )

SLS ( jep have to admit that one's gay for sertain ! )

Corvette ( nope not gay at al ! )

Dodge Viper ( bring it on :P, that one's damn hot )

caterham/donkervoort etc. ( some kinda weird but sertainly not gay ! )

LFA ( tha BOMB ! )

z8 ( don't know what bmw wanted with that one )

z3 ( the one and only bmw hairdresser car, totheter with that Audi TT and fiat barchetta )
 
I really don't understand how a front engine / rear wheel drive layout makes a two seat car "gay" or fitting for a "hairdresser". To say so is utterly crass.
Such an attitude would find your Ford Escort to be nothing more than a family car for a frugal man or perhaps a shopping box for wifey to take the kids to school. I hope you are simply trying to be provocative, if not your beliefs reveal you to be a fool.
For me, my Z4MC is reminiscent of my Westfield in coupe guise, albeit with rather more weight. I track both regularly and use both on the road; I love each for its instantaneous power delivery and communicative handling. I've driven thousands of miles across Europe in comfort in my ///M, yet every mile I have covered has felt like an event. Its performance has been complemented at track days by owners of far more exotic metal than you have so ostentatiously paraded here, and it has been photographed next to supercars in Monaco. I suspect at best only one of these may obtain with your particular example of Dagenham's finest.
I wouldn't substitute my car with these characteristics for any in your stable, despite your perception that its power credentials are rather diminutive nor what you believe it to imply about my occupation, sexuality or endowment.
I’m rather surprised that a man with such an enduring passion for fast performance cars is so unable to offer an honest critiique of the Z4M, relying instead on tired clichés.

You forgot my caveat about having 400+bhp ;). The Caterham / Donervoort can scrape in by courtesy of a 400bhp per tonne power to weight ratio ;).

Im not a girl, certainly not gay, and probably not a hairdresser (although I must admit that I spend most of my time at work with scissors and forceps)..

About a week ago, on a trackday, an owner of stock evo X called my Z all show no go.. than he couldnt shake me from hie tail for 5 laps.. in the depo I asked him, how would it look like if we switched cars and I would drive a 4wd and he would take my FR - would he be able to keep up - just then he understood a misconception of calling Z a hairdressers car..

Let me guess, you jumped on board the band wagon without actually reading the original post that caused the original ruffling of the Z4 owners' feathers?

If you actually take the time to read this on the Evo forum (link on page 1 first post), you will see that I posted up a pretty objective report of our 'ring trip where we drove there in the Z4MC, did 22 laps in a day and then drove back. I pointed out the flaws with the standard suspension / wheels / tyre package and then in one tongue-in-cheek comment (buried at the bottom of page 3), just mentioned it was a bit of a hair-dressers car - cue all you lot ignoring everything else I'd written about the trip and jumping on this one comment (where I was jokingly flippant as someone was trying to compare a GT3 with a Z4M) as if I was Satan himself and launching into the abusive tirade that you can see on the first three pages of this very thread :thumbsdown: . I only found out about these comments yesterday (quite some time after they were posted) and having read some of the puerile statements, I thought that a few of the people that were so blatantly ignorant needed some fun poking at them :P.

As you can obviously see, I'm a complete car nut and just felt that those that had overstepped the mark, need edumacating ;) that although BMW does produce the ultimate driving machines, the Z4MC isn't actually "all that" in the grand scheme of things ;). With regard to my shonky old Ford, I'm more than well aware of it's short-comings - I've owned it for 10 years - and it is something I have slowly developed into the Supercar slayer that it is. Obviously the knowledgeable know it's homologation pedigree (it's Ford's version of the Lancia Delta Intergrale etc), those that wear blinkers and remain one make car specific just assume it is a front-wheel drive shopping car with a big spoiler on the back, but that's fine with me, as they get more of a surprise ;).
 
Mike Rainbird, most of us will have read the threads and done a wee google just to check you out... We all love our respective cars for reasons that quickly become very similar when you strip away the bollocks. Brilliant troll, great retention of humour in the face of abuse, and obviously able to string more than a sentence or two together in a sensible fashion :thumbsup:

It was obvious that the posts made here were never intended for me to find (a bit yellow considering some of the comments), and also funny how the majority of people on the internet hide behind pseudonyms, so they can basically spout any BS they like. Er, I take it you did read the first three pages of this thread, where basically a load of stuck-up prats who clearly thought that because I had a Ford as a track-car and a Freelander as an every day car, that I was therefore poor and wasn't entitled to a jokey comment about their beloved cars? If I had seen the post at the time, I would have responded in the same way I have over the last two days.

I realise that the humour has obviously been a bit over your head, but I can assure you that it was all light hearted from my end (admittedly to belittle those original posters - but IMO, they deserved it :P ). If I've offended any of the more sensible Z4 owners, then I can only apologise.

In the meantime, I take by your apparent condescending attitude, that you obviously need to get laid more often - might I refer you to the owners on the first three pages - you're well matched :rofl: :thumbsup: .

I thank the (majority of) subsequent posters for their ability to spot and appreciate a bit of banter - it was an absolute pleasure :D.

Given my love of (more manly ;)) BMWs, I may stick around a bit (just to upset Carol ;)) :driving: .
