Hi all,
This is part of a small private collection which I am selling as I would like to go racing next year.
I took great care to select this Z4MC. I bought it in a private sale from a fellow BMW enthusiast and it appears to have been well looked after throughout its life. It benefits from the following features:
- A desirable spec with Black Sapphire Metallic paint, Imola Red leather and carbon effect interior, rear parking sensors, heated seats.
- Eisenmann exhaust properly fitted (similar volume to the original but much better quality sound)
- CSL replica alloys completely unmarked
- Short weighted BMW ZHP gear knob and aluminium pedals, which improve the feel of these contact points
- Youtube feature by JayEmm currently with 71k views (worth watching)
- Just had a contamination detail by 1080 London
- Front brakes recently replaced
- The exterior and interior present very well for any mileage level
- Stored underground, temperature controlled and low humidity
- Only done 2.5k miles in my ownership (now at c.79,000)
- Looked after by Munich Legends and BMW main dealers
I understand from my research that BMW updated the S54 around model year 2006 and including all Z4Ms, so the VANOS and rod bearings are stronger in these models than in early E46s for example. When thinking about reliability in general, I took extra comfort in seeing the amount of Z4Ms available with 100k miles and well beyond.
I'm pleased that I have owned this car for the engine alone. It's fantastic and that's why it won engine of the year several years in a row back in the day. The intake sound and throttle response all the way to 8k rpm are among the best ever.
See more pics on PH which is by far the most friendly when it comes to number and quality of images! I have posted >40 on there including the service book and more exterior/interior detail.
I am asking for £21,975. In my view pricing throughout the Z4M market is becoming quite inconsistent (AT and PH asking prices are all over the place) and it's developing into more of a classic car market where the value of each car is less strictly tethered to the basics and more about the genuine qualities of each car. Same is happening with the E46 M3 market, which was my other choice back when shopping for this M but I was too scared of the list of reliability issues with those! I think the M is going to be a real winner in terms of investment value but I really want to start racing, which is never going to be a financially sensible hobby, so just need to bite the bullet and go for it.
Available to view and test drive in London (Fulham). I'm working from home at the moment so I can be available any time. Whatsapp / phone / email / imessage all good with me. Probably best to start with a PM and go from there.
