Z4MC differential rebuild

I had similar on my Focus, 100% rear wheel bearing noise but turned out to be a funny tyre. No reason for it, just one of those things. Maybe a faulty batch?
You might also want to look at a full Hunter alignment when you have the new tyres on and the wheel sorted.

Thanks Rockhopper. They are a matching set of Michelin Pilot Sport all replaced at the same time by BMW Bedford. If it is the tyres then I might contact Michelin Tech support. Good suggestion on the 4 wheel alignment. We have a reputable company in Bedford called STS Alignment. I believe main dealers in the area use them on occasion.
 
They'll also be able to spot anything that might need changing like bushes etc as any kind of suspension issue can cause the tyre wear you are getting (from what I have read). Maybe get it up on a ramp first for a good poke around?
