It's what ultimately holds my time back , If I went out with no care for the car I could smash this time but I'm finding the limit of my comfort zone their is no room for error. For example for last time was done on only the second run of the day, after I achieved that time I slowed down and just had fun.
There easily a 1.24 in my car , but I'm, Not sure with me driving it.
My car is so pristine it needs to be seen to be appreciated , I'd like to keep it that way. Lmao. Aside from this I enter it into show and shines but don't post up about it as I know I'll be flamed. Lol
But I'm having so much fun with all the mods and actually putting them to task, I absolutely love this car, it completely satisfies my needs for a weekend toy/track warrior with a just enough creature comforts to enjoy.
Best car I've owned and by car the longest. I simply can't afford it's replacement, it performs that well.

The difference in weight with this setup is huge , hopi g to pick up a decent amount of tq, slightly worried about the noise increase however...
Love the vband setup. Everything is in place just not Tq'd up while some parts on order come in. [emoji2]Hi Byron I agree with you buddy. It is horrendous doing this type of work on stands. I have just built a system for mine well half a system. Yours looks a lot cleaner (looks bloody great in fact) than what i managed!! All the bolts on the manifold of my car where completely rusted up! So i couldn't get them off so i chad to cut mine where you joints are after your cats. And then weld clamping plates on to the exhaust. I tell that was probably the most time consuming difficult and hateful thing i have ever done!! The system i made must have saved half the weight of the old one. The standard BM exhaust on any zed are so heavy!

how did you find curboorugh ??? did you run the figure 8?? Not as easy as it looks is it and takes real skill to get round quickly!
Yeah absolute pain in the ass on the exhaust front, luckily nothing is seized on mine as its pretty much never really seen the rain as you can see from the underside, if i button it all back up and i get a CEL light I'm going to take it to a garage.... no way am in removing it all again... complete nightmare. lol!!

I absolutely loved it. Nice easy going environment only car on track. It all put me at ease for my first track outing. We did do the figure 8 course i was surprised how much speed you can take through the crosovers. I think i made the my biggest improvements there and on the first 2 corners. I just couldn't get either end right. I found the gate end by the food shack the hardest. I just couldn't get my enty speed or braking point right. I was going in to fast or to slow!!
Yeah no wet weather would help. I am sure the first owner of my car loved it. The second didn't seem to care to much! But the third is doing a lot of restoration as well as mods. Well fingers crossed it all works with no problems

its great place and i LOVE being the sprinting / hill club scene for being alone on the circuit, you can keep your car looks as new if you want... ( unless you crash) Great place.... and the crossovers can be taken at speeds that give brown trousers. Not an easy place to gain a fast time.... Car looks awesome! great to see it being enjoyed!
I had a skid mark moment on my 3rd lap towards the end of the day when i lost the brake pedal!! So the next thing on the mod list is brakes.
I loved it and something i want to do much more of. the day cost me about £120 all in so its very affordable as well. Might have to look into some hill climes

Thanks Jimmy Bare in mind that the side you can see is the side with all the load on it. There is not a lot of roll on my car but i would say it naturally sits 10mm higher. I have a fair bit of rear camber too so the wheel fit mainly but it seemed to feel grate on track.

for a smacll circuit its REALLy hard on the brakes... my APs glow after 3 laps and I regularly see smoking pads and rotors.
I am sure especially with the extra horses you have. My brakes have new but not great quality fluid and stander d lines. I have grooved discs but i think better pads braided lines and better fluid should work fine.
I would like to put some bigger disks and calipers on. But its mega money!! I quite like the idea of using old Alfa 4 pot Brembo calipers and a set of z4m discs.

I have a drifting lesson booked for October. Thought that might add to track skills. And confidence plus i know its not the fast way to get round corners. But it is fun

cars nearly finished.... what a nightmare job this has been.
this will get some tongues wagging, but after spending time under the car, its so close to being super mint underneath this winter I'm going to store it on stands and completely strip the underside and Re-power coat everything or replace. Nice easy winter job.
