Right so I'm definitley going to be heading up on the Sunday morning.
According to AA route planner it will take me 2 hours and 11 minutes (better knock some off that though ;) ) so I will be leaving Rotherham between 7.45 and 8am. This will be my route

So if anyone else is just heading up on the Sunday and wants to tag along if you're on the same route then let me know.
Exciting looking route Lucy :P - solid Motorways. See that lovely green line from Shipley (north of Leeds) that's a much better driving road and 'only' 20 mins longer for 30-40 miles of twisty / scenic 'A' road blasting. (But you should hit enough A roads once the meet begins - so an easy M-way blast might be soon forgotten)

Lucy if i was you I would go straight up the A1 to scotch corner, then take a left onto the A66, then down onto the A685. Alot better route as the M6 is an awful motorway.

So, have cleared it that I can leave the Regatta early on Saturday (once clients are settled and a little tipsy)... hopefully 5pm (definitely 5pm if England are playing at 3pm), so should be arriving by 10pm.

Oh yes, Aebous, try 300 miles / 5 hours each way :o Think I had better get my Inspection II booked for my return

Sounds good. My hotel is just off the A65. Going up Friday morning so might have an enjoyable drive up there.

I'm hoping my new Z4MC will be back from the dealers by Friday next week so that I can make this meet.. what accommodation options still have availability?

Unfortunately I've managed to produce a list of 10 things that need sorting with the car after my first week of ownership; always to be expected when picking up a used car but something I would've hoped to have avoided when buying an AUC

Re Walkie talkies - anyone here use an android phone? I just downloaded a free app called virtualwalkietalkie which works over a normal data connection, by this I mean 3G but I suppose in the lakes coverage may be poor  . Could be a fun thing to set up and no additional costs if you already have a data plan on your contract. I'll be there saturday so if anyone fancies giving it a shot pm me and I'll set it up my end and give you the ip details.

Hey I'm getting up at 7am as it is. 20 minutes extra in bed is precious at that time on a Sunday morning

to save me trawling back thrugh can some one post the campsite details please? sorry to be lazy-!
the campsite that had space last is Little Acres: 015395 67214

she told me she was pretty much booked up, but Pawny managed to get in - so fingers crossed ;)

Just curious but do we have anyone attending in a 'new' Z4? Would be nice to see at least one turn up for a meeting :)

thanks will bell them in the morn

Space is meant to be tight... she will ask, so as I'm arriving late I may just get one of those little two man popup tents.

sk93, Siftah, what size are your tents? It may help Paddy's case.

I know Aebous is bringing something you could play real tennis in! Best not mention that to Pat.

Otherwise Paddy, there is the Waterside Camp site, next door I think.

Sammyz, yes, I was wondering the same.

Waterside is already full, hence we're on Little Acres :)

Little Acres was "full" when I booked, so I think we're going to be pushing it :)

I just have a small 2 man tent too, so we shouldn't take up too much space... Apart from Aebous! :)

If we get stuck a couple of us with two man tents could always pitch in an unoccupied wing of his pad :P
