The one-big-stripe-with-thinner-flanking-stripes look surprises me in that I do not detest it. Not for me but I think it looks alright

Nope :) it was started by Cunningham in the 50's...

...often they were down one side only, and that was to identify which side of the car the driver was on in the event of a crash on track. So it's funny when the stripe is on the 'wrong' side

While I don't like a white stripe on the Z4, as ksher suggests, maybe the BMW Motorsport colors.

This may be a somewhat expensive test. At least these are vinyl wraps and can be taken off if you don't like it.

I had a similar idea, along the way MTheory had done his Alpine White Coupe' but have decided against it.

Overdone. The stripes are more like rainbow.
 
For the love of good taste.... NO!!!

The only car that looked good with a stripe is the GT40 in Gulf colours and possibly the Porsches too

Don't forget the Ferraris. 360 CS and 430 Scuderia stripes are the business :thumbsup: .

just wrong- but as said its ur car. As for the blue MC at the top of the page having seen it at a meet it was really nice!
 
no stripes in my opinion, as only yesterday on the motorway i saw a astra in blue with these nasty grey stripes running the full length from front to back, i almost spewed up whilst driving.

Viper - yes ! but stripes on a z4 will look as if youve joined the 'burburry brigade' ! they do seem to like the vauxhall's dont they ?
 
Stripes on a race spec car like that are perfect ! however on a roadcar its a different story...
 
Stripes just don't suit the sexual curves of the Z4...

i will be biased and say the roadster :poke:

(tho being honest the rdstr looks good roof up,the coupe probably is as sexy/but roof down the rdstr is at its sexiest :evil: )

Although i did get some lovely old lady (65+ I think) stop me in Warwick High Street to tell me how beautiful my Silver Grey Roadster was!
 
sorry to dig up an old thread but what are peoples opinjions on this- not buying it but just intrigued on what thought sare as I shamefully quite like it!

IMHO you don't ask for MHO LOL. :)

Bottom line is its your car and you do what you like to it.

But if it helps, I like the idea of stripes. I have a sterling grey roadster with titanium silver hardtop and hanker after contrasting double stripe....tit.silver on the bonnet and boot and ster. grey across the hardtop....just can't find the time to get it done.........

So - JFDI if its what you like.....NOBODY else's opinion matters a hoot. :thumbsup:
