Booked my hotel from the friday till monday morning - let's hope the weather will be good!

Its the girlfriends birthday on the Saturday, will need a to explain to her why we 'may' bump into 20+ other z4's on the saturday and Sunday.

It's Mrs Bing's on the Friday... I think we will probably say 'hi' to anyone who is around before/after checking in and then go out for a meal somewhere to lessen the blow of sharing her happy day with the M6 and a bunch of Z4 drivers :D

Have been meaning to ask, can anyone recommend a nice restaurant in the locale, but perhaps another village / town within taxi distance ?

Bing - depends on the budget. Hipping Hall is very, very nice, but not cheap. It's about 20 mins from the meet-up point at the Crooklands.

Have you decided what day you're doing yet?

If you want to push the boat out there's L'enclune in cartmel about 25 min away by car - a fat wallet needed but it is michelin star :)

Thanks for the tips original guvnor & metal licker - I was thinking more Pizza Express but classier

Kidding... I may however have the means (briefly...) for a proper posh meal around that time, so I can always book early and default to Maccie D's closer to the time if necessary

Edit - Mrs Bing wants L'eclume. I should learn to keep my mouth shut

Taz x is easy to spot...somewhere trying to smoke his tyres, lol
(hooligan that he is,haha :poke: ........just joking taz)

Oh no hope i havent caused a domestic :poke: :D
Not been myself, but friends of mine have and talk about it in glowing terms !

Nah, she loves her cooking and has seen the chap who runs it on the TV - she's been wavering ever so slightly about travelling so far for the meet and leaving Wee Bing behind, but a nice room at the Crooklands and now this suggestion have pretty much sealed the deal

I knew she had expensive tastes when I married her, and I have occassionally remembered to budget appropriately over the last 13 years :D

Very funny,cj....i think u know what i meant :P

P.S,sent u an e-mail,re this meet :)

Ive booked the monday off work this time... I was absolutely nackered last year after all the driving and hardly any sleep..

I would suggest people do the same.. Also makes a nice day for cleaning all the dead flies and brake dust that will be baked onto the car from a weekend of hooning :D

I have also booked Monday off work. My car will need to some TLC and much washing and waxing after this meet.

Plus I probably won't get back until near midnight on Sunday night/Monday morning anyway.

Well worth a day off IMO :)

Are there any more camping places left? Would anyone mind my dad tagging along with his porka? or are there strict rules on the meets? :P

Hi all,

Please can you put me down for this? I'll be arriving Friday afternoon, camping on Friday and Sat.

Regards,

Rick.
