Z4-Forum INSURANCE scheme with CHRIS KNOTT :: 0800 917 2274

I fit the insurance criteria apart from the 1 year NCB as the Z4 is new to me second car. Otherwise I have more than 5 years NCB, can I apply for insurance?

Always had great service from CK. However I did leave on my last renewal. I will always pay more for better service but this time round I managed to save well over £100 a year by moving. This also included adding the Mrs on who is 10 years younger than myself (for emergencies, driving home from the pub).

“Competitive quote, quick & easy service, professional service.” Tanya L, TrustPilot

"Just like to say what a friendly Insurance Company Chris Knott are :) I rang up yesterday and got a very good quote for my GT86 Auto and you managed to beat the LV Renewal by about £48, other Insurance Companies through Compare The Market were quoting about £100 to £200 more." Test Drives Unlimited, GT86/BRZ Drivers Club

"I have just changed my insurance over to Chris Knott. Had been with my previous insurer for 5 years. Chris Knott knocked £50 off my renewal which my old insurer wouldn't price match. Great customer service from Tabitha who provided my quote then Ian who processed the quote when I went ahead. Would recommend to anyone to give these guys a try." J306TD, BimmerForums

"Good people to deal with." Hamish M, TrustPilot

"Very helpful. My phone call was answered quickly and I didn't have to go through too much button pressing!" Jill T, TrustPilot

"Kim was excellent, honest and beat the best quote I got online. So far would really recommend these guys, better than all the other 'performance friendly' insurers I tried." Fran, TrustPilot

"Good comms and they are willing to work with you on buying a compulsory bit of paper that you might never need." plc143, TrustPilot

"I feel good price-wise - reasonable and care about client." Surinder K, TrustPilot

"Very happy so far." Nigel T, TrustPilot

"Very friendly and all paperwork seamed straightforward, the price was competitive too, with a saving on my renewal quote." Steve, TrustPilot

"Great as they matched the right policy to my particular needs and at a great price too - thanks!" Philip E, TrustPilot

"Matched previous quotes, knocked another £15 off great job, many thanks to Kath(y)." Gareth, TrustPilot

"I had fabulous help on the phone from Ian who understood exactly what I was talking about." Mike C, TrustPilot

My insurance is up for renewal next month.

Multi car quotes are painfull so after insuring each of my 2 cars separate as I’m sure it will be cheeper over all.

Main car - 2013 BMW f31 330d - 18 year NCD
2nd Car - 2006 BMW Z4 3.0si sport - 0 NCD

Not sure if I will qualify?

Hi, yes you'll qualify (based on the limited info you have supplied) and we can mirror that 330d's bonus across to the Z4 too so you get the benefit on both.

Please call us on 0800 917 2274 when it's convenient to go through a quote.

best,
Nick

Hi Nick

Can you tell me why you don’t quote for the BT postcode area?
Thanks

We have 84 different policies available to us and none of the insurers that offer them will quote for NI. That includes the really big names like Aviva, Zurich, LV, Ageas, etc. For a short time LV allowed us to quote but then they switched it off again.

I've never been able to get a clear answer from insurers as to why they won't offer terms but I did read an article recently that claimed it was down to the fact there are no motorways and therefore most of the roads are country lanes. That has the knock on effect that more younger drivers tend to come a cropper on the roads and the serious injury claims costs are much higher because of the slightly different legal system. I don't know if that's true.

We'd love it if we could quote for club members in the province of course, but we have no control if the insurers won't entertain it.

Nick

Yea that’s right, there are no motorways over here. We all live in wee thatched cottages with no electric or running water and chase leprechauns for sport.
Never heard so much nonsense in all my life.
We do infact have several hundred miles of motorway and dual carriageways.
Plus extra lanes for the horse and carts.
Problem is most people forget that Northern Ireland is infact part of the UK.
Now you know that the article is not true Nick!! Can’t belive people would believe that anyway or even have the stupidity to write it in article.
Got sorted with Adrian Flux.

Forgive me, I was quoting from memory but I've found the article in the Belfast Telegraph:

Hi wondering if I would qualify for a quote?
Had a z4 3.0si e86 for a year that I sold about 18 months ago. Considering an e89 35i as next car.

Apart from owning the e86 I have been a named driver on a tvr Tuscan for a fair few years. Got 3 years ncb (lost 3 years due to theft at previous address not due to accident)

Cheers

You should be OK, though when did the theft occur? Was it in the last 12 months?

No occurred about 3 years ago now.

I think I'll be giving you a call later on today. I've had a quote in from Admiral and from Adrian Flux, and both are eye-watering. I'm 34, been driving for 17 years, but only 5 years driving in the UK (I'm from NZ) so I've got 5 years NCB. My car has a few mods (wheels, suspension, brakes, and a couple of cosmetic mods). I think I should qualify (unless the foreign-ness is an issue?) so I'll be calling for a quote today.

Just got a quote today for theE85 facelift 2.5 SE that I'm more than happy with, so I'm insured and collecting tomorrow afternoon!

Dealing with a decent broker is so much better than dealing direct with an ins co!

Happy New Customer
