Z4 3.0 Coupe market watch

If it's the metal brake pipes the driver's side one has to go across the car between the bulkhead and the petrol tank.

BMW pipes are pre-shaped so fitting them involves dropping the tank, but if replacing in copper/kunifer it can be threaded through the support mounts with the tank in place then shaped to fit.

How do I find out if it had dsp audio

It won't have storage cubbies in the bulkhead behind the seats as they will have speakers in them!

Ok he’s agreed to do water pump, new springs, full service including spark plugs delivered to me. For 8200.

Mileage is 118k

Should I go for it and what what springs and water pump should I request for

That seems reasonable to me to be honest. You want the original OEM replacement manufactured by Pierburg. See attached for part number.

https://www.onlinecarparts.co.uk/pierburg-7428339.html

You might want to ask about them replacing the thermostat and radiator header tank at the same time.

On the springs front have a search on the forum, there are a few and it depends

Also, I see they didn’t include the brake lines. You’ll need to budget for that as it has been an MOT issue for some years now (not really the sort of thing you want to risk really)

I bought it based on the following.

The works to be carried out are a electric water pump. Oem spec.

EIBACH springs and suspension check to make sure all a suspension is ok.

Full service, including all filters, oils and spark plugs

12 months MOT

All electrics in good working order and air conditioning working as described.

Air conditioning refreshed

Full health check

If all of the above is completed and invoices can be provided I will accept the vehicle and transfer all funds across to the given account
The bodywork looks immaculate as described with no dents, stone chips or scratches and all panels aligned.

There is also 3 month warranty included in this sale

Shaz, you’ve done as much as you can and negotiated a good discount along with all that work added in.

There’s not much more you, or in fact the dealer, can do

I hope everything goes as planned and you enjoy many happy miles in it

I think I would be taking the piss if I started saying I want any more work, for the agreed price.

I have knocked a £1050 off and got them to do 600£ plus worth of work.

At 8200 I feel like I have got the best one i could have got

It’s took me 6 months of constantly looking and viewing many and missing out on some good ones.

It’s got 3 months warranty, the only thing is the abs pump which i will get checked out prior to the warranty running out

I feel confident with the purchase and happy that I got a coupe before they become even more extinct and pricey.

Glad to hear you have gone ahead with it following the discussion on the forum.

Hmmm, not definitive.
The top hifi (not dsp) also as speakers rather than cubbies behind the seats.
To check for dsp look for an amp in the boot down next to the battery.
