Z4 3.0 Coupe market watch

Hmmm will it sell for that? Happy for them to pull the market value up.
With M's hitting £600 Road fund licence, will it shake a few out or swing favour to the 3.0?

I think your signature is a bit of a giveaway!

You really won't regret it, even if there is a price to pay!

The 3.0 came along during my search for the evasive Interlagos //M. I hope it turns up soon though, I cant afford a drive full of Zed's. They all just look so good!

Well the first MC I went to look at was this one, and it was stunning!

But I spent too long trying to make my mind up before it was sold. :(

Still within 6 months I found my current one with less miles and cheaper - happy days. :D

But after 3+ years with my Montego Blue Si Coupe I'd have to say it was a great car - just not an M.

Interestingly this same lot we’re selling this car

Last December, same car except manual and on 85000 miles. Price then was £9500

I’m sure Attilio said his ///M was nearly €1900 a year in Ireland

Depending on when it's registered (pre/post July 2008) the 3.0si is btween €1200 - €1494 per annum in Ireland, the M is between €1809 - €2350 :o

A huge difference between them, although neither are particularly palatable tbh.

The 3.0 gets cheaper post July 2008, the M get's significantly dearer.

I remember Attilio telling me that on the NC500, blew my fkin mind what an absolutely obscene tax :sick2: :sick2:
I assume its based on the same criteria as here aka the CO2 emissions, suppose the S2000 would be a similar cost as well, the post 2006 ones are £585 here

[ref]Calps[/ref],

I was wincing a bit at the first tax on the M40i but subsequent years are ok for the type of car but I’d be seriously considering my options at those Irish prices

Pre July 2008 is based on engine size, post July 2008 is emissions based.

Full details here if you fancy a scare before bedtime: https://www.gov.ie/en/publication/41c9cc-motor-tax-rates/

The price we pay for these nice things eh!? Don't even get me started on insurance :headbang:

Thanks for that, so correct me if I'm wrong but a fire breathing RX7 (1.3cc) would be 385?!
The S2000 would "only" be 710 as well
Might move to Ireland lol

If memory serves correct, we in the banana republic treat the RX7 as a 1.7l. (nope, I've no iea why either). Some have been taxed as 1.3l after some protracted discussions with revenue, and I've also heard of a few being treated as a 2.6l!

The S2000, yeah you're probably grand there though, so come on over!

1.7 makes absolutely no sense
They are technically 2.6l engines because each rotor has a 1.3l capacity, 2 rotors in a standard 13b makes your 2.6

JayEmm giving kudos to the Z4C as a better package than a lot of cars including his Lambo and the Z4MC.

I like him and it's worth a watch; only went up a few days ago.

Can't but help values I think

Nah, twin 650cc = 1.3l altogether.

Quite right! My ageing brain letting me down again
Its the R26B from the legendary 787 thats 2.6

Hey

I’m a new member and potential new Z4 owner. I wanted to ask the forum’s opinion on a car I’m viewing tomorrow.

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202105122539215

It’s “overpriced” but has a brand new steering column (which I understand can run up a couple £k bill), does seem to be in lovely condition (I’ve been sent a walkaround video), and has all the other trimmings you’d expect from a decent second hand car.

So yeah, would be interested in any opinions on this car.

I did check back a few pages and couldn’t find anything on this advert so apologies if I missed some earlier discussion.

Cheers

It doesn’t really matter whether it’s had a new steering column or not, it’s still overpriced. But not by much. Could be a good buy with a bit of negotiation.
