How does one remap a 3.0si?

I'd question 290bhp. As its N/A 15bhp is about as much as you can get. I've had mine done (old car, high mileage, just trying to get a few horses back in the stable that have escaped) and didn't notice the difference tbh.

The units used to measure output are also a factor.

BMW quote 265bhp for the 3.0Si but they are PS horses. Using DIN bhp it's only 261 IIRC.

But as has been said I can't see a 3.0Si making 290 of either with just a remap.

You'd need a map, induction kit AND exhaust mod to get anywhere 290hp surely

Id say so but tbh it would probably also need a manifold as well to get that sort of power, as far an I'm aware the N52 is pretty much squeezed of all the possible power from the factory.

Tuning a NA is a losers game imo

Tuning an NA engine is -to me- a way to finesse the behaviour and response of the engine, and not so much a way to gain any power. Drivability improvement, at best

The only thing I'm interested in is maybe a bit more induction noise. Like the look of the Afe cold air kit

Agreed entirely
Trying to get any meaningful power out of them is usually futile but drivability and response can all usually be improved

That particular one has been for sale for a long while. At the beginning of the week the car was £12,990 so it’s increased in value. Looks like a nice spec and one of the last Coupes I wonder if some better pictures would aid in its sale!

Yes this one has been about for ages. Many will disagree but I have never understood this desire to paint wheels black. For me the wheel detail gets lost agains the black tyre and in this case the paintwork. I think this is a major reason this car has not sold. Buyers like original cars, and this one immediately screams out modified as soon as you see it.
I tried to check the MOT history, however the site is down at present.

I thought that I'd seen it cheaper too, and the guy has the gall to put 'Reduced for quick sale' in the description!

ZedsDeadbabyZedzdead, I take it it's dodgy then?

It’s just my gut opinion on having met the seller and seen the car, the guy advertised it as full service history when I got there he didn’t have any at all, that meant no proof the car has ever been serviced.
If he magically produces any now I’d be very sceptical on its authenticity.
