Z4 2.5i from Finland *page 7 new pics with style 108*

I wonder how these cars sell in Finland. I know that over here there's 0 interest in them. Hard to sell and even harder to buy. Most of them are 2.2 or 2.5. 3.0 are rare, especially good ones. Selling is really bad due to the insurance/road tax for this environmentally hazardous engines. Haven't seen 3.0si or Z4M roadster in years; not in the ads or on the road. So good luck my friend

Sell times are usually long. Road tax and insurance is quite expensive too. Year ago i sold 330CIA Msport E46 facelift cabriolet, it took only 1 week and i had cash in my hand. I am quite sure Z is not so easy.
Finance situation is even worse than year a go.. :?

Couple of weeks i drove 150km and i would like to share how it went.

There was good weather (at least this time of year here) sunshine and -5celsius. Road noise from tyres was horrible. You see most Finns use studded winter tyres between october - april, and last winter was bad winter because we dont have lot of snow, most of the road were just wet from water. All road surfaces are really bad worn..
Suspension was quite uncomfortable in my opinion. One reason might be that i have drove E46 with H&R comfort suspension package and super soft friction winter tyres. Z4 feels so different with summer tyres and hard suspension.

Another thing i want to test how Vanos and brakes works. They were brilliant
Car is now so easy to drive even in city speeds. Engine is pulling really smoothly. I think there is now more power in top of the rev range too. Vanos seal replacement job is really important DIY. After test drive i check there was absolutely no any coolant or oil leaks and every fluid is in top level.
And one more thing.. cruise control works as it should, so success with that retrofit. :P

Now i am waiting for warm weather, currently weather is like -1c in the night and +5c in the day, so no any reason to take Z out from storage yet..

Finally we have warm enough to take car out from garage and drive roof open.
Unfortunately Styling 108 alloys are still in refurb. Maybe set will be ready next week i dont know yet.

Either you are a great photographer, or your car paint is in excellent condition! Or both :D Looking very good

Have you tested difference with/without wind deflector? Does it have noticeable affect on turbulance etc?

I love this thread. Just read it from start to Finnish. If you will excuse the pun. What a lovely car, great photos too. I have my vanos to do yet so this will really help.
