Your Z4 Moment of 2010?

Evening Guys,

First time on here in a while! What a great thread to go through. Sadly in September decided for work reasons to put the Z up for sale and buy a van ... Bought the van and didn't get around to selling the Z ... It's been sat on my drive for 4 months with such light use ... I feel so guilty

Now work situation has changed, the van needs to go as a company car is en-route. I will definitely be holding onto the Z.

Best moments of 2010 have to be a road trip 4 of us undertook in a Z3 2.0 and my Z4 3.0
Approximately 2600 miles through: France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy & Monaco. It was greatest week of the year.

I’m taking the Z4 over to France (Tignes) for a skiing trip at the end of January beginning of February. Will need to make sure we take a camera and get some good shots. 5 of our group are taking the EuroStar and 2 of us taking the Z ... should be an interesting drive.

Anyway it’s great to be back.

My Z4 moment of 2010 was the weekend that my Z4 had a major Facelift (complete wrap), it happened all life and in front of me @ the tuning expo in Mechelen (Belgium).
It was such a joy to see and hear the surrounding people giving it positive comments as they didn't know that i was the owner of the car

Hard pushed to choose a favourite pic of the car, but this probably one of my favourites as it reminds me of just how good the roads up and through the French Alps were, I think this one was just off the Col-De-Turini:


Anything in this set on Flickr has fond memories though.

Too many good meets to even list. Nurburgring was stunning, entire road-trip through Germany, Italy and France was unforgettable. Doing a lap of Fiorano and spending a week mooching round Mercedes, Porsche, BMW, Ferrari and Lamborghini factories. What a year.

Big smile every time I start the engine though, even if it's just nipping to Tesco.

My moment has to be our road trip to italy , via swissland, then back along south of france and over the millau bridge, not bad for an oldie !!!!!!!!!!! havin said that every time i sit in the ZED it still puts a big smile on my face,

Great thread, so nice to see so many people getting out there and properly enjoying their car's rather than totally pampering them.

Mine is probably this http://nurburgringphotos.com/details.php?gid=20100725&sgid=&pid=30417 (and yes I got out of the way of the scary Carrera GT pronto!). As much for the road trip as the driving around the 'ring. Hopefully a few more trips in the diary for next year.

That said I've loved the last two weeks drifting around in the snow laughing at those without winter tyres on. The look on peoples face as they smirk at you pulling up in 6" of snow and then power your way out is ace! Even better is the folk in their "4x4"'s stuck. For those that haven't got any yet.................... DO IT!

The best moments of 2010 have to be Le-Mans in June and my 5 day jaunt around France driving top down on the road sections of the Le-Mans circuit and driving the Z through the tiny cobbled streets of the Old Town

Great thread! I think for me the year was summed up on Christmas Day driving to my ma's house in the middle of the Suffolk countryside. Just me, nobody else on the roads, proper icy air fog thing going on and lovely crisp engine note as I hacked my way through the the wilds of East Anglia towards the famous Ma inkey$ Christmas dinner Here's to 2011!

I have two best moments of 2010.

1. 16. May: First time I saw my ordered Coupe with my own eyes.

For me, it has to be the afternoon of day 2 of the 'National Meet'.
Fantastic roads, 6 Zs with 6 friends and heavy right feet... Bliss
