Hilarious. Thank god I don’t need you guys. And then people here wonders why an enthusiast doesn’t spend much time in these forums.

We enthuse over keeping our cars, not trying to get top dollar for ones with no proven provenance.

I understand of course that it’s not correct to join a forum just to sell your car but I also understand why people do it. My view is that if you think the car is pants just pass it by - as you would on AT or PH. It’s surprisingly negative for this site I think which is extremely good at resolving people’s problems etc. And it’s much better than most where a thread can start off on one topic before being hijacked for another.
Ps or you could be doing it because it’s good sport! I dunno.

Up until now you’d been doing fairly well, but this comment has dropped you in my estimation to somewhere below ‘builder’ level. It takes no intelligence at all to format such a derogatory and low brow response. It seems after much digging we have finally established your true level.twozfour said:I guess builders don’t have budget for a good life coach and end up tragically spending their free time doing this instead.

How soon do you leave?
I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering how you couldn't find the time yesterday to answer a serious enquiry about the yellow car as you were far too busy, and yet now you appear to be poised over the keyboard ready to pounce at every post.twozfour said:enuff_zed said:Up until now you’d been doing fairly well, but this comment has dropped you in my estimation to somewhere below ‘builder’ level. Haha I guess that’s the next step for Z4s, from hairdressers, to builders, to (idk what) and maybe finally someday full circle to important collections. I really hope so, the cars deserve it.
Can’t wait to leave, just dealing with all these bits and bobs. Do not worry about that! I didn’t mean to come down to match the low level of the forum, but as others started fire, now that the sales are definitely hijacked, I can have a bit of fun myself too, no?

You used to be interesting, but you became a bore within 24 hours. I can only hope that Dubai residents are slower to pick up on this trait.

As I was the one who (potentially) started the ball rolling by replying first to the thread...here are my reasons for doing so:
I personally don't like new sign-ups using the forum just to try and flog their cars. I am convinced they always only do it because it's FREE and, generally, they have struggled to sell them elsewhere. But it happens; OK I would have passed it by.
BUT to start dictating rules on how you have decided the forum should act to your thread is not cricket IMO and it annoyed me. THAT is why I commented.
I couldn't care less about the cars for sale; I am not interested in either of them. I couldn't care less if they were falling apart, hand painted in polkadots and he was asking £50k for them.
This forum is not like many others out there; it is very 'protective' and is conducted more like a 'club' than just a forum. I think this is why it is so successful (and it is still VERY successful). New sign-ups just wanting to sell cars for free should spend a little while researching the forum to get a 'feel' for how it works. But, of course, they don't because they are not interested in the forum, just selling their cars and then they will be gone.
That's my view.

Especially the 'club' bit.
