Hilarious. Thank god I don’t need you guys. And then people here wonders why an enthusiast doesn’t spend much time in these forums.

Interesting - despite the tax free status, I have worked there for a client for just 2 weeks and I was literally fried and bored. Being a muslim country, it was also rather limiting in so many ways.

Not being funny, but I would not do 2 weeks there for £20k.

TY, it's a gift.

We have plenty of enthusiasts actually, proper ones that didn't just join to sell but joined to contribute. You have contributed too though I suppose, with the spin off thread. :D

We do!
We enthuse over keeping our cars, not trying to get top dollar for ones with no proven provenance.

Glad you enthuse in forums, not much else left to do in the whole country to be fair.

As a relative outsider although sometime commentator I do refrain from commenting on car adverts as my experience on here is that it very often ends up in tragedy, usually as a consequence of experienced ones on the forum tearing apart adverts from newbies. I understand of course that it’s not correct to join a forum just to sell your car but I also understand why people do it. My view is that if you think the car is pants just pass it by - as you would on AT or PH. It’s surprisingly negative for this site I think which is extremely good at resolving people’s problems etc. And it’s much better than most where a thread can start off on one topic before being hijacked for another.

Ps or you could be doing it because it’s good sport! I dunno.

I see your point, but in this case the bloke waded in with rules in bold type which was guaranteed to bring out our combative side.

Exactly. There’s plenty of space for banter and opportunities for releasing stress than hijacking someone’s post to try to sell cars. But I guess builders don’t have budget for a good life coach and end up tragically spending their free time doing this instead.

Bloke waded just because years ago I tried to sell another car here, ended up exactly the same and in the end I was blamed for NOT writing that I didn’t want comments. So I did. Same result, you can’t win against bored trolls that feel important because they have five stars for wasting their life writing on forums. But again, I get it.. outside is miserable. I’ll be in the beach, you guys keep enthusing on forums.

Up until now you’d been doing fairly well, but this comment has dropped you in my estimation to somewhere below ‘builder’ level. It takes no intelligence at all to format such a derogatory and low brow response. It seems after much digging we have finally established your true level.
How soon do you leave?

Haha I guess that’s the next step for Z4s, from hairdressers, to builders, to (idk what) and maybe finally someday full circle to important collections. I really hope so, the cars deserve it.

Can’t wait to leave, just dealing with all these bits and bobs. Do not worry about that! I didn’t mean to come down to match the low level of the forum, but as others started fire, now that the sales are definitely hijacked, I can have a bit of fun myself too, no?

I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering how you couldn't find the time yesterday to answer a serious enquiry about the yellow car as you were far too busy, and yet now you appear to be poised over the keyboard ready to pounce at every post.

You used to be interesting, but you became a bore within 24 hours. I can only hope that Dubai residents are slower to pick up on this trait.

You guys have been wondering too much. As I already said, there’s so much more better stuff to do out there than this, Just not in UK maybe, I get that.

Conveniently forgetting you were the first one to type an insult? YOU started fire with your incel etc comment, YOU came onto the forum stating YOUR rules for the thread, YOU put an unrealistic value on your cars and YOU tried to flannel re insurance and the cat car.

Bit late to play the victim.

As I was the one who (potentially) started the ball rolling by replying first to the thread...here are my reasons for doing so:
I personally don't like new sign-ups using the forum just to try and flog their cars. I am convinced they always only do it because it's FREE and, generally, they have struggled to sell them elsewhere. But it happens; OK I would have passed it by.
BUT to start dictating rules on how you have decided the forum should act to your thread is not cricket IMO and it annoyed me. THAT is why I commented.

I couldn't care less about the cars for sale; I am not interested in either of them. I couldn't care less if they were falling apart, hand painted in polkadots and he was asking £50k for them.

This forum is not like many others out there; it is very 'protective' and is conducted more like a 'club' than just a forum. I think this is why it is so successful (and it is still VERY successful). New sign-ups just wanting to sell cars for free should spend a little while researching the forum to get a 'feel' for how it works. But, of course, they don't because they are not interested in the forum, just selling their cars and then they will be gone.

That's my view.

28th October 2024. Remember the date. I agreed with Pondy
Especially the 'club' bit.

You have referred to builders now several times. Is that due to the remark I made earlier about working on building sites?
You seem to infer that 'builders' are a lower form of life than you. Really? :?

Don't worry, you are fine. It probably won't happen again.
