LOL LOL LOL, I stand corrected, mate that was great

Dan was close with Monaco Blue but it has to be Midnight Blue Individual with champagne Individual leather!!

Only 17 RHD UK registered M Coupes in Midnight Blue too!

I think Sepang Bronze, Ruby Black and White look awesome too.

Midnight with extended light sepang. Champagne is too yellow for my liking. Didn't think I'd like mine until I saw it and it's quite classy even if I say so myself!!

but objectively speaking the best colors are Imola Red, Interlagos Blue, and White.

Sorry but objectivity and colour choices are not natural bedfellows.

Objectivity is "exhibiting facts uncoloured by feelings or opinions"Years of fitting out/designing and investing in pubs and restaurants have taught me that colour is entirely subjective "not impartial or literal; personal, an opinion"

So the coolest colour for a Z4M is the individual opinion of each and every one of us ! :)

IR works well on the R with the black contrast from roof and wheels where done. It still looks the dogs in a C but needs CSL wheels to finish.

When I was buying I wanted ruby black with amarone interior but happy with my choice which is along similar lines albeit different colours.

Imola is kind of obvious.
Monaco blue is classy
and this is all the way through effete and into seriously masculine.
Ironic eh?

WLH & Wondermike - thank you for restoring my faith in good taste. I had a horrible feeling that the pink ///M might have been real :o

Glad it's a confirmed photoshop

Has to be white. Obviously I'm biased as I have one. But having seen lots of colours in the flesh, I don't think any compare IMO :D

That would be awesome, but I just dont think I trust the wraps... I have heard horror stories but never directly witnessed an unwrap. Suppose until someone does and I see it then I wont know, but surely its not 'good' and a lot of work would be needed to get it back to its original paintwork!? Maybe just me being cautious and scared of it... probably completely wrong! I would like to wrap my roof black, then I could remove it when I sell but a painted finish looks so good...

Things like a roof are fine, but start wrapping around badges or door handles and it starts to look messy. On the wraps I've seen anyway.

Ye I can imagine. Theres a company in my town called AST signs that did the whole Eddie Stobart fleet and Yodel ect and they are pretty good. They have two minis and an X5 they have wrapped as advertising and they do look great, although Ive heard removing all the trim can be tricky breaking snap fitting etc... I would have to be there!! Would be paranoid haha guaranteed for 5 years or so?? Whats the cleaning process like? I dont no I like paint haha![/quote]

Ast MD/owner mark is a long time customer of mine, top bloke & very good at his work, me personally though I wouldn't have one. AST did all my businesses vinyl work & it's second to none, but I've also got a childhood mate based in Carlisle who wrapped the entire front end of my r26.r in clear for protection on trackdays. Again the work was top notch but it never polished up as nice as real paint. Got to say though, in well over 100+ laps of the ring (and other trackdays as well) not once did a stone go through to mark the paint.
I'd only do a vinyl wrap if I wanted a one off colour but didn't want a respray, say like lime gren or orange that wasn't available as a factory option on the car.

Interestingly on a grey/silver car you could put a clear matte/satin wrap on & create bmw's frozen grey-very cool!

Back on topic I honestly think the lines of the Z4 suit silver or black the best, strange as I've vowed never to own either colour again in my life!

The Mini and the X5 are pretty cool, really well done. My mate works at AST and showed me around both of the cars but they do end up breaking quite a few of the snap fittings because they are hard to get off. Getting my roof done in 3M CF in the next couple of months at AST, when the weather gets better. They are a top company, and have quite a few locations around Britain.

BTW can't believe you got rid of that gorgeous Porsche!! Look like such perfection to detail in its restoration!
