Did somebody say diesel ? I have a twin screw 3l i6 diesel in the BMW X5 which is 255 hp 416ft-lb torque and by my standards, race ready in sport mode.
My X6 40D model has 302hp and 443ft-lb torque which can apparently be remapped to give 360hp and 510ft-lb torque
My Mustang GT makes 435 hp and 400 ft-lb torque but who's counting ? :poke:
My favorite car to drive is the E89 3.0 with 258 hp and a 6 spd manual gearbox. This car really brings a smile to my face.

435hp in a mustang is great until you come to a corner, don’t they still have leaf springs and iron hoops around wooden wheels  :fuelfire: :D

 I think we are criminally off topic now :fuelfire: But in her defense, she's 2017 with IRS, LSD, and a 6spd manual. In sport mode she sticks like glue with an aggression the Z4 only dreams of.

But given a choice this AM I took the Z .... after all, it is a convertible and this is a nice day and it handles so nicely.

:driving: Sorted

While the X5 is good for hauling lots of stuff in a straight line... I just came back from 50 miles of twisty back roads in the Z4 and I can't get the grin off my face ! That same route is a chore in the X5

:o Oh for Gods sake - I just found my perfect Z4  Dam covid lock down time has me Sunday searching to buy things I don't need. And now I gone and found my ideal Z4 and close by to boot!
Same year as my 3.0 but 35i
Same gray exterior
Coveted red leather
coveted sport seats
coveted 306 hp
coveted Adaptive M chassis
comfort access
high speed sync
with 30% less mileage on it.

What you are saying is 306 is just a starting point?

:) What do you know about the high speed synchronization pkg. 840 ?
There is some confusing info out there on it. Some calling it a summer tire pkg others saying it involves a differential change or more?

In the 1980’s world of f1 bmw managed to extract 1,400bhp from their modest 1.5litre 4pot engine using turbo technology taken to the limit, the engines were allowed to rust in the yard before being machined to “toughen” them up https://gtspirit.com/2014/05/31/the-most-powerful-f1-car-ever/ :o

Well I hope you get a reply then, as it also looks lovely in the photos.

You’ll get bugger all interventions on here -only encouragement to upgrade and spend more money

Of course that’ll be translated to the Mrs as “I sent an ENQUIRY” 😇
