Which e89

Have you bought it ?

I would suggest that when you do buy it, that you don’t dive in with a remap on day one - there will a sufficient change from your 3.0l - wait until (If) the wow factor subsides.

Hi Beeacon
How did you do reach 380?

It was put on by the previous owner, and required no further modifications to the engine bay as the 35i is effectively a stage 0 map, while the 35iS is effectively a stage 1 map (my understanding is that there are no different parts between the 35i and the 35is other than the map). The 380hp effectively takes it to a stage 1+.

As you're over the pond my understanding is that the brakes on the American 35i are the same as the 30i in the UK and Europe; whereas the UK 35i brakes are the same as the 35iS, meaning you may want to do a brake upgrade in America too. The car can certainly get up to speed fast, so it might be a good idea to be able to bring it down from speed too!

If you're feeling brave, then you can add an intercooler and catless downpipes and go north of 400hp quite easily, but honestly, I have felt no need for this at all.

As Ronk has said, try it with 305hp first, it will be plenty fast enough to start with!
