What's the fastest speed you got caught doing?

yeah my fastest was 83mph by an overhead gantry camera at the M4/M5 junction - luckily negotiated myself into a speed awareness course rather than any points.

obviously been plenty faster than that, but usually i'm on smaller B roads, wouldn't get up to any big speeds on any major A roads.

When I was at uni I was playing hockey for Cardiff & was I think the only student driver we were always shooting down the a470 to get to meet times from Pontypridd

One particular day one of the lads had forgotten to set his alarm & I drove round literally dragged him out of bed & we set off. We were running about 20 minutes late.

2 weeks later my mum calls out of the blue to tell me I’ve been caught speeding - 82mph

After those points were removed immediately got done again - hockey again - I don’t remember what I was doing 39mph I think coming out of Edgbaston a38

Clean since 2005 until …

I then got caught in October doing 42mph in a 30 on my way back from the physio on a Friday night - did the course on Saturday just gone

Kinda linked:
Yesterday Vall's daughter messaged me and said she just got a NIP for 51 in a 30 limit.
She asked what I thought she'd get.
I sent back a link to the walking boot department of the Mountain Warehouse Sale.

Does this make me a bad person?

Nope, exactly what I’d have done, or a link to Halfords bikes range
Andy it just got better!
She's now thinking of contesting it as she's pretty sure she wasn't over 45!
Which part of 30mph limit is she missing??

I've hidden the blue paint just in case!

Got caught in Grimsby doing 32 in a 30 whilst in a line of moving traffic in my merc sprinter by a parked purple coloured plain van with a sticker on the bonnet which read 'Humberside Speed Aware" :x Had to do an awareness course for £80 :headbang: (THE B4STARDS!!)

Was on my way to work last November at about 4.45am on the A6 between Loughborough & Leicester doing about 95mph when the dreaded blue lights came from nowhere  So, pulled over expecting the worst. But to my amazement they never mentioned the speed but advised me that the MOT on my zed had ran out at midnight (it was booked in later that day) Which i told the 2 young rozzers.

The nice thing about it all was while i was talking to one of them the other was of course checking over the zed. He came back and joined us and said "NICE MOTOR" I was then allowed on my way.

My "NICE MOTOR" failed the MOT seriously! One of the back brake lines was about to have "catastrophic failure" and did fall to pieces when removed. It was an advisory the year before though  Apart from that it sailed through

My dad passed 2 years ago & i am sure he was lookin out for me that day.

Well, 240 km/h, on the highway, by an Audi Quattro police interceptor, we had a joke, I said to him, I slowed down because I saw him :D :D hahahahaha

Before i start, not proud of this,
100 in a 30,i new there was a static camera at the bottom of this long straight road about 8 pm ish so slowed through it then floored it in a golf gti, unknown to me they have fitted another at the other end.
About a week later i got a letter for a speeding fine.
I opened it expecting a invitation to HMPS.
The letter stated 34mph.i have never been as happy to receive a fine.
Then low and behold i got another letter saying they were no longer going to persue this case i got off scott free.
I must have slowed enough before the camera to get away with it.
This has not happened since and will not again.
Very stupid thing to do.

You can call that a warning shot across the bows!
