Been dragged out a bit Tony but glad you've got the option to do what you wanted and get your Zed back on the road.
It's not totally heart over head, more of a 'better the devil you know'.mr wilks said:I appreciate the bond & the custom tweaks but once fettled its still gonna be 150k car that,s had a heavy shunt on 2 sides![]()
Think i would have pushed for a bit more cash & took the money
Not negotiated anything (yet) to cover the 4 weeks of hire car I've paid for due to their faffing about, but should be picking up something 'free' from the bodyshop (Vauxhall main dealer) on Fri/Sat.Z4M-2006 said:Bloody hell..
Still suprised they are repairing, but glad your happy with the result...
Are they paying for your courtesy cars over the waiting and repair period too?

Didn't know it was double-skinned, but I think I might be lucky as the dent is just above an access hole in the supporting frame. Still might need pulling though - and I've just not had the free time to get the front-end respray I've been promising myself.MrPT said:Would be interested to know how they do this, if they do it. I didn't have any luck finding a shop that would fix a double-skinned aluminium bonnet when mine got dented (they all suggested fill and spray), so I had to source a new one. I think it needs heat, studs (to pull) and maybe some specialist tools.
Happy that you've gotten a decent result. Vauxhall dealer for the temp car, so... Monaro?![]()

Courtesy car is provided 'where available' as I didn't pay the extra £20 premium for the enhanced courtesy car cover.simonlpearce said:Shocking, what does your policy wording state? Might be worth doing some reading and making some formal complaints and a possible threat of ombudsman action...Could help to force their hand on the matter.
