in real world street driving, all cars are all the same. last time i looked the speed limit is 65mph and in some places 85mph. so anything over that is a waist! even my 1.8 honda can do that! :driving: so what is everyone talking about?

Yes, the M is faster but is it faster enough to warrant the extra costs (buying and running)?MC28REPSOL said:this started off by being a is there any real world driving difference between the different engine sizes? and has turned into the classic ... mines better then yours and then the cost factor comes into play.
in reality life is all about those that "Have" and those that "Have Not"

LOL .... this is true with everything in life. those that have talk about it and those that don't try to justify that their's even tho inferior are just as good or even better!
here's some great quotes that always makes me laugh ... again i'll bet started by those that are lacking:
"anything more then a mouth full is a waist" yea right, that's why the Wonder Bra is the #1 selling bra in the world!
"it's not the size of the wave ... but the motion of the ocean" LOL, ever hear of Penis Envy? and i'm sure that those that haveare saying man i sure wish it was smaller!
"money can't buy you happiness" well be poor and i can bet your not happy! and for those that have money and are not happy ... those are people that don't know how to spend it.
so is a M better that a Non-M? Hell Yes! like it or not. it is what it is.

I am fortunate enough to have bought my Z4 outright and yes, I could have bought an M so I haven't "made do" with the 3.0l. I personally didn't think the M "driving on the road as a road car not a track" felt a much better car than the 3.0l. If it did, I would be sat in one now!

Yes. The hydraulic steering, extra 75HP & body styling alone are worth the extra costs.
Easy to say, harder to prove especially on the road!! :driving:  I "followed" an M3 in my JCW MINI once. Couldn't shake me off! (actually that MINI was awesome on the road. I love the Z4 but really miss the MINI also. Should have kept it as well!! On the road, there isn't much quicker A to B).GP20 said:Breaker said:I am fortunate enough to have bought my Z4 outright and yes, I could have bought an M so I haven't "made do" with the 3.0l. I personally didn't think the M "driving on the road as a road car not a track" felt a much better car than the 3.0l. Indeed, the 3.0si is also a great choice for those who have limitations in abilities to dicern the differences between the Z4M & the 3.0si.
Fancy sponsoring a Brit to live at yours? :lol:ovrkll said:Servicing is completely free, even the windshield wipers, while under the warranty period  Yearly registration/road tax, varies by state and is usually based on the vehicle value rather than emissions. Since the 3.0si fully specced is not much less than an //M, the overall running costs year to year are not that much different (excluding gas  )
Cheers!
