the sound generator only produces sound inside the car... whereas an induction kit produces noise outside the car.... unless I am mistaken

I would be astonished if the sound generator mod came close to the noise of something like a GruppeM, aFe or Simota (haven't heard personally), although it is all subjective - sounds upgrades really don't add anything to the experience for some people, me, love them![]()

I love the sound of the sound generatorNever been keen on almost all aftermarket stuff though, it all sounds too chav imho. Loud, obnoxious, with popping from an engine without anti-lag... or even a turbo. The sound generator amplifies and filters, so it's still the engine making all the noise, just with the less desireable stuff filtered out. Sounds like a race car
Also love how it's for the occupants only. I don't want to spoil people's time with loud engine sounds, I just want to enjoy them myself. Don't like aftermarket exhausts either, they're also loud and the sound comes from behind you when the engine is up front. It's all wrong!
Bah humbug!

Get it done, you're gonna love it![]()
One thing not in the instructions, there's a block of rubber under the factory air box which you may need to move slightly - not sure on the N52 setup.
