Good to know an A B comparison![]()
How did you have the cross over switches configured?
Is it just the 6 speaker head unit or via an amp?
Did you have it coded Hi-FI?

1. 0db
2. 6 speaker hu with the vibe powerbox 65.4 amp
3. Not coded to hifi.
Still lacks any major bass, so that'll be the next project.

Decent woofers on their own amp channel major impact![]()

Yes, got my eye on a pair of audison 8" subs and a pioneer GM-D8701 amp to run them.

Imho after 4 sets of subs..676 677 Audison and Audiotec Fischer with the last with 500w rms and 320w rms that it’s a lot of effort for not much gain…pun…good quality woofers in the front on a decent amp with appropriate pass band filter has much much better results..of course you can have both ..as I have done twice ..but for my music profile almost a complete waste of time and money..

Think I'd be better having a face to face with you, lol. Either that, or just be content with what I've got. Tbf, it's night and day compared to what it was with just the council spec hu, just not as much bass as I'd like.

I find it’s difficult to get good bass because when the top is down the wind noise / road roar clash intensity and frequency wise in those areas…if I play the system in the garage with engine off its ’banging’ I believe is the term..
With the Match series DSPs you can use Director or Conductor to have real time changes to the sound stage by selecting different profiles using various bass enhancing techniques and /or just boosting bass frequencies in either simple or clever ways..the conclusion is always the same ..you can have way too much bass stationary or moving slowly rood up..but roof down or at speed exterior noise swamps the bass response..the subs are really bad as they get overwhelmed by rear wheel noise through the arches / rear fire wall…the woofers don’t suffer as bad..

Right, so maybe better to look for some decent 6" subs for the footwells and run those from a separate amp, rather than going to the trouble of fitting rear subs?
