What have you done to your E89 today

Today I fully dismantled the front and rear bumpers for the paint man..

The front bumper has had paint blown over the top..with the bumper flexing it’s cracked in areas from the underlying original paint..

Someone’s blown paint over the parking sensors and 3 out of 4 are missing their rubber seals around them..

Too many nose landings haven’t flown through the air caused some serious abrasions under the front bumper…some 180 paper in the sander has cut them back along with a few other serious stone chips..

FWIW the front badge on E89s is just held by two push click clips..the centre spigot is not secured..

The rear MSport diffuser slightly worse for wear..Scottish hooning takes its toll..

Anyway nothing some careful reassembly won’t fix..may need to enlist some extra fixings / adhesive to do a good job..

You are a busy man. I was wondering why you removed your bumpers.

I wonder how fast it will go now with all that mud and gravel removed
Hopefully now it will be quick enough to prevent other ‘lesser’ zeds running into the back of it. :poke:

Should never have stopped at the Give Way… :tumbleweed:

The other day, I washed the car and the silencer case behind the rear left tire was abnormally rusty, so I hurriedly applied rust prevention. It also served as a rust remover, so it became shiny.
Is it related to the winter freezer?
How are you guys

What did you use?

It is a manufacturer that handles maintenance in Japan, but it became shiny, and I couldn't do it in every corner because I didn't lift it up

The car I bought was used in a snowy region, so it has a lot of rust. In addition to the muffler, metal parts such as screws and arms have rust and need maintenance. I found a rust inhibitor on Amazon, so I'm attaching a picture.

Attention moves to the front end..the existing BBK..the trusty E82/E90 6 pot Brembo with 338mm x26mm discs removed for the new owner..

Current plan is still to fit the big Shelby Mustang Brembo 6 pot (bigger pots) with M2/M4 380mm 30mm discs..

However here’s the F series M Performance caliper (340m with adapter for 380mm discs)…

Also trial fit of 380mm M2 front dust shield..will need a little work but 3 out 4 holes line up..

The M Performance caliper is slightly lighter..the old Brembo s bit chunkier..but it does have harmonic weighs bolted on..

Enjoy..

I'm using the E90 Mpkg brembo on the far right with a different color, and when I checked with the shop, it seems that this caliper doesn't fit 360mm and the pad area disappears
