What have you done to your car today?

Since I eliminated the run flat tires, I decided to add a mini 12v compressor with sealer kit from ECS Tuning here in the US. Fit nicely in the space behind the battery.

Took mine to a garage and had the front discs and pads changed as per the August 2024 and August 2025 MOT advisories. The bloke said he thought the ones that came off looked ok.

Proper back to basics garage that I've only used once before. One man band, I get the impression the bloke who runs it would happily telly any potential customer to f**k off if they annoyed him.

Best bit was looking at the cars outside the unit two doors down... suspension specialist... out the front they had what I think was a track-only MX5 under cover, plus three Lotus Exiges and two Vauxhall VX220s.

Took it round North Wales for a good spanking! (Was actually yesterday)

I keep coming back to look at this picture. The location, landscape, moody sky and the car colour go perfectly together. And you have the empty twisting private road ahead that you are about to spank along. It could be something out of BMW's Z4 brochure. Nice one

Wow, thanks! 👍

Nothing today, usually have a nice run out in the sun and a coffee break with a nice view. Not today, been pi$$ing down all day, still is. :headbang: English Riviera my b#m.

Over the last few days, but finally got around to shoving it back on the axle stands and replacing the rear bump stops, front springs and doing an oil change. Box of new bits waiting to be fitted has dwindled a little bit more.

Also realised in just over a year I've almost put as many miles on the 3.0si as I did in nearly four years of owning the 2.5i. (8150 -> 8671.) Pleasing to know I'm using it more, justifies the upgrade ;-)

Fitted new boot gas struts as mine was just falling shut - got the Frankberg ones from Amazon £15 the pair - now fitted and decent quality

My front brake pad retaining clip decided to fly off when I was driving yesterday - saw it bouncing down the road in my side mirror - went back and got it. It managed to scratch the wheel on its way out - so took the wheel off - refitted it for now (I've ordered some new ones) and repaired the scratches

Whilst the wheel was off I thought I would replace the sidelight bulb that was out - I thought it was just a bulb replacement and I followed the guides - just turn it anti-clockwise - WTF - I thought this is going to break so I stopped - now find out that as I have xenons with angel eye sidelights that it is a full unit - part number 63127170858

Can anyone help me out with a UK supplier for one of these apart from the stealers please?

Thanks

You can modify the holder to get the bulb out. See post #9 in this thread.

Got tired of the crappy trunk lighting (didn't help my emergency oil bag covered the factory light) so I added an LED strip. Goal was improved but subtle lighting. It’s only overwhelming if you're crouching down looking eye level. But 2nd picture is how it looks normally.
